It is a beautiful campus, I feel safe. Minus the "Killer Clowns", I usually feel safe. It is definitely a party school though, so if you don't drink, you'll be the odd one out. There are a bunch of clubs to join though that are fun. I have joined the pre-vet club, the horsemens club and more recently, the service fraternity , APO. The food is really good-at the beginning of the year the chef's make an effort to have variety in their dishes. There are always multiple station with healthy options and creative twists to try. There is an allergy free station, a vegan and gluten-free station for people who are on special diets. Union Court is a cafeteria style area where you can get delicious food on the go. I am looking forward to having my own kitchen though next year because cafeteria food gets old after a few years no matter how good it is. I was in the honors dorm freshman year. I lucked out and got a good roommate. Our room was flooded for a week because a sprinkler went off, but we were accommodated in a hotel for one night which was nice-but we were out of our room for a week which was a drag. It depends which dorm you end up with, some are older-the newer ones are beautiful. The honors program is unorganized and has so many requirements in addition to the main university's requirements which is a little annoying. I have so many requirements for my major and then there are multiple discovery classes so that I have very little time for classes that I really want to take that are in the animal sciences major. I have been disappointed with what I feel was a misrepresentation of what the pre-vet major would be like. In the pre-vet presentation we were given, the professor talked about the hands on experience we would be able to get starting in freshman year-but we actually don't have the opportunity for experience with animals until junior and senior year. It doesn't make sense to me how much hands on experience the vet tech students get, but they don't offer this same opportunity to the pre-vet majors. Overall, I really like UNH. I volunteer at some of the honors luncheons and think that the school has good programs and so many opportunities for students. They have a lot of really good research opportunities for the sciences. I like my professors. I just wish there were more opportunities for hands on learning or internships. It is also harder to fit in if you're not into partying, but I have a good roommate and have made friends. I'm content at UNH. I think the next two years will be even better.

I'm in one of the worst dorms (Hubbard), which is the Honors dorm, which is disappointing. The food seems to have gotten worse this semester, not a lot of flavor, but decent amount of options. There are loads of extracurricular activities to participate in and a good social scene. The classes aren't very hard though.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I absolutely love it! I don't think I would be happy anywhere else. I love the campus, I love the people, I love the location. Being at this school is the best thing that has happened to me. All of the things I complain about my school are just because I'm a lazy college student, but I wouldn't want anything to change.

Overall, I love it here. Once I looked at this school I knew I wanted to come here and it was my top choice. There is some flaws, but not everyone is perfect. However, to be honest I only stay on one half of the campus and go to the barns, so I do not know much on how the other side is. I am happy I made this choice, but I would of liked if the tuition was lower since my parents are paying for it and they are also paying for my other siblings tuition.

It's a good school, but there needs to be substantially more support for funding of the arts. Academics are fairly strong, and professors are generally helpful. Housing could be a little bit cleaner and bigger. Personally, my hall director didn't handle all situations with proper courtesy and respect, however I know that most do.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I have only attended University of New Hampshire for one semester, but I know that I made the right decision - coming to such a large school was difficult at first, but I have learned to be incredibly independent and responsible as a result. Here at UNH I found my way, and am working hard to be accepted into the business program to get a degree from such a prestigious school. I can't imagine being at any other school - in just a few months I've grown more than I could have ever imagined and look forward to the next three and a half years.

I felt very welcomed to the school when I first arrived and found that everyone, including students and staff, made it very easy to adapt. There are also plenty of events provided by the school, so you are never bored. Lastly, I find that my class are interesting and the professors are easy to talk to and contact for help.

The University of New Hampshire was the first school I toured, when I began the process of applying for colleges. When I immediately saw the beautiful campus, the friendly and accommodating students, professors, and staff I knew this school was the place for me. UNH offers so many opportunities to expand a student's academics, social, and occupations. With over a 100 clubs and organizations, the CAT PACK cheering at every sporting event, and interesting majors and academics. I am never bored or feel like I mad the wrong decision in choosing a school. Everyday is a great day to be a wildcat at UNH!

I love UNH and all that is has to offer. I'm a sophomore going into my second semester from a small town, and even though UNH has an undergrad population of over 13,000, you still get that tight-knit community feeling. The school has so many opportunities to get involved: intramural sports, greek life, countless groups and orgs, and so much more.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

In high school I was fairly close-minded to the idea of attending a state school less than an hour away from my home. I felt that I was settling my attending UNH, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The University of New Hampshire has become my home. I feel that I have found my path, and I get to spend each and every day working to acquire a stellar education surrounded by like-minded, driven and dedicated individuals. UNH has provided me opportunities that I would not have had I attended another school. I was granted an internship after my freshman year because of the alumni network at UNH, have several leadership positions in groups that provide beyond the classroom experience that is directly applicable to the field of work I intend to enter, and I could not be more appreciative of the place that I now call home.
