UNC A is a liberal arts school that pushes creativity. As a student, I am encouraged to dialogue with my peers and professors, and our course offerings are awesome!
My school is best known for the diversity of the students and the importance placed upon education, our teacher licesnsure program, and psychology as the most intended major.
UNCA is best know for it's carefree attitude, positive atmousphere, and mountainous terrain.
Being a liberal arts school. Our motto is seriously creative. We love to make well rounded educated people. It's not just about getting a piece of paper in 4 years. It's the experience along the way. Another motto is the private school education at the public school cost!
Sadly, UNCA is most know for two things. It is known for being very liberal, and having the largest populus of drug users. While I will not disagree that the college is liberal, because that would definitely be an understatement, I highly disagree that there are more drug abusers at UNCA than there are on any other college campus. When going off to college, you have to expect that some students don't necessarily think the law applies to them, but that is no reason to casterate the entire school for the lapse of judgement of others.
The University of North Carolina at Asheville is best known for having small class sizes in which each student is noticed. As a Liberal Arts College, the courses one may take at UNCA are numerous, all centering around knowledge expansion and celebration of purpose.
Small classes and friendly people
it's liberal arts education, that provides well-rounded students.
