When I tell my friends about my school I brag the most about the opportunities it presents. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers extraordinary opportunities to students both inside the classroom, to learn the importance of responsibility, integrity, and hard work, and to learn how to work well with others, and also outside of the classroom, by providing an array of activities and experiences meant to foster creativity, cultural diversity, and life-long learning.
Classes, friends made here, sports, opportunities
Everything.
Grades, by far. I worked hard in high school but easily made good grades. At Chapel Hill, I work my butt off and everytime I get an A I want to frame it. It's made me value hard work so much more.
Carolina Blue is the most beautiful color in the world.
Before the season we just had it was our basketball team. Ugh.
The thing I brag about the most is our sports programs. We have some of the most successful teams in the nation.
Many schools just focus on academics, but UNC is well-rounded and emphasizes academics, volunteer service, scholarship, sports, and hard work in order to achieve long-term goals.
Locally-prestigious school (2009 Basketball champs!)
Our Men's Basketball Team National Champs!
The school spirit is infectious, the campus is gorgeous the balance of work and play is spot on and I'm always proud to be a Tar Heel!
Of course it would be CAROLINA BASKETBALL!! We are the best! We have a very strong supportive student body that is always very excited and spirited!.. I love Carolina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO CAROLINA!! Continue to please us.
I brag just the fact that I attend UNC-Chapel Hill. Our football team has had its best year. Our basketball team is rated No. 1. The campus is beautiful and the professors are great. There really isn't anything about the school that I wouldn't brag about.
I brag about the bigger dorm rooms, as well as the many classes, and dining halls.
It's really the best of both worlds-- very strong academically and socially.
Our basketball team
How beautiful the campus is, the basketball team/going to games, how everyone here is fairly smart and motivated
School spirit, sports teams, basketball, famous alumni like Michael Jordan, Mia Hamm, Marion Jones, Vince Carter, etc.
Our basketball team. If there's one thing Carolina students can all agree on, whether they care and follow it closely or not, it's the fact that our basketball team is good. It brings the school together. Carolina pride is manifested in the attitudes of students towards our basketball team. Games are a community event, students bring friends, families bring their children, and alumni come together - Tar Heels born and bred enjoy this sport and the spirit of pride it brings to our community.
We have a beautiful campus with old trees and forest trails. UNC is also becoming very dedicated to environmental conservation and sustainability.
School is large and it will be difficult to get to know all students of your class before you graduate Science courses may be tough Roads are slightly colonial, need to get used to campus area University of Never-ending Construction Rising tuition costs for out of state students, but still awesome tuition, relatively Depause they sometimes get tired Nice school newspaper Renovation and construction has its merits Transition system is okay Neighborhood is relatively safer and has a nice environment
basketball. greek life.
Our chemistry department, and sports.
That I am so dedicated that I drive 75 miles everyday one way to school. I also like to tell them that I am not driving that far to get B's; I want all A's. Being a Tarheel gives you automatic bragging rights anyway.
Athletics, mainly men's basketball and women's soccer. I also brag about how well known and academically centered the school is.
The overwhelming school pride/spirit of current students, faculty and alumni would be number one. Next would be that it is a campus town in Chapel Hill. I love being able to walk to stores and restaurants. I love the campus surroundings: the Carolina Blue sky-the huge old trees, and the beautiful flowers.
That UNC has a great atmosphere, and I feel very welcomed when I walk on campus, never feeling out of place.
The sports teams!
The basketball team which is great.
It's easy to brag about Carolina because it's the best school in the country. So, I usually brag about Carolina on the whole. The students are all very intelligent and well-rounded, down-to-earth people. The friends I made there are invaluable to me. Moreover, the academics are challenging. I learned a lot at Carolina, and I feel confident about getting a good job after graduation. However, most of the bragging definitely happens over sports. Things get pretty heated during basketball season, especially with Duke, NC State, and Wake Forest just down the road.
How beautiful the campus is.
We are the number one University in North Carolina...
BASKETBALL! COOL CLASSES! GREAT FRIENDS! FABULOUS RESTAURANTS ON FRANKLIN STREET! THE PIT AND OTHER CAMPUS AREAS! MOVIES FROM THE LIBRARY! AWESOME CONCERTS! BASKETBALL AGAIN! OUR AWESOME T-SHIRTS/MUGS/STICKERS/EVERYTHING!
The amount of social activities there are to do at school.
