Before coming to UNCC I wish I would have known the surrounding area a little better because Charlotte is such a big city and it can get a little confusing sometimes. I also wish I would have realized how big the campus was and how spread out the buildings are. I took a tour of the school before I attended school here, but it didn't do the school justice. It is a great school, don't get me wrong and I would hightly recommend it to every one of my friends!

It is a huge adjustment to make when you are transferring. The science faculty are definitely not as welcoming as can be in a smaller school. Many of the research faculty require you to have taken their class or have upper-level courses before working with them.

I wish that I had known how different college life would be from high school. I know everyone always tells you that they are completely different, but until you experience it, you don't know. If I had known, I would've cherished the days in high school and with my family more instead of just trying to get out. That is like life though, you never truly appreciate what you have until it is gone.

I wish I would have known how different my schedule would be before coming to college. In high school I had the same four classes every day for a semester. In college I have five classes a semester. I attend certain ones on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the others I attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For some reason I thought college would opperate as a high school. It has been great and I have learned a lot from being on my own.

Daniel

I wish I knew how I could secure a scholarship.

One thing that I wished I learned before coming into college are the resources they offer. I never knew about the many services the campus offers. They offer to help you tutor, help with resumes, free health clinic and there are so many clubs and activities to join. There is something to do every weekend so students won?t be bored. If I had known in the beginning about the resources that this campus offered, I would have taken advantage of them earlier.
