My classmates were very relaxed and non-competitive.
I have met many good friends at UNF from all over the world. I have met people from every continent (except from Antarctica of course) and from all over the country. People are campus are generally very polite. I have never had an issue making new friends or talking to anyone. Its not hard to find others who share your interest, making it easy to get to know potential study budies and even life long friends.
The only way I can descirbe some of my classmates are that they are friendly and helpful, they are very open and they are people I can get along with and I get to know more about them as the semester continues.

Many of my classmates seem to be very eager to learn new things. With the smaller campus size at this University, it is very easy to connect with your classmates and meet many different people. In doing this, it makes it much easier for students to get together and help with peer studying and support in classes. Many students are always willing to give a helpping hand to others around as well.
My classmates were typically quiet as class was going on and didnt seem to interested in learning compared to me. I usually asked all of the questions and wanted to learn more and it made my classmates seem to be less interested.

The classmates that I endure everyday are down to earth students that want to succeed. The school is not a party school and does not have a football team; with that being said my classmates are pretty responsible adults focused on their education.

Every religion, race, and age demographic is represented at UNF. I don't think any student would feel alone. I have never met anyone that is intolerant of someone that is different. There is on-campus resources, clubs, etc. for every group. There is always an opportunity to make yourself stand apart or be part of the group.
There is a group/ club for just about anything you can think of. Every student can find something that they would fit in at. Our campus varies as far as the physical appearance of students; there are the preps, skaters, surfers the list goes on. Our school really focuses on international students so there are always foreign exchange students wondering around. The financial backgrounds are also varied, but our school is very generous with financial aid.
Some are completely focused on school, 0thers are focused on having fun and then you have those in between.
My classmates demonstrate similar academic goals and there is a strong sense of community within the student body.
My classmates at the University of North Florida are diverse and interested in learning for the sake of learning.

Most students keep to themselves, especially in the larger lecture classes, however in the smaller classes there is usually a decent amount of class participation and interaction.
