University of North Florida Top Questions

I feel that UNF is a great school because it fosters an environment for students to live, learn, and grow. The size of the university is perfect because classes, club meetings, and events are never more than a 10 minute walk from the residence halls and students are able to see and meet others consistently. I find that the one downside to UNF is the stigma against attending; however, in the past few years, the Student Government and school administration have worked very hard to create a new image and to develop our programs so that attending the university is more beneficial to students.

I like the size of UNF. The campus isn't so big that it is over-whelming, although there are still parts of the school that I haven't seen. Most of the classes are very small. I have always been able to interact on a personal level with my professors. I have some issues with the administration - it is difficult to get questions answered, and it is not uncommon to get different answers to one question. There are many classes that are completely useless - I believe that UNF created this classes solely for financial reasons. There are a lot of great teachers that really care though.

My overall opinion of this school is that it's not very well known but the reason being is because it's so new. It's very modernized and the campus is nice. The professors are also very friendly and helpful. If you like the more one on one time and smaller classes then this would be perfect for you.

The best thing about this school is that it is the perfect size with small class sizes that allow students to get an excellent education from professors who are passionate about what they teach. This school is constantly growing and changing so there are many new developments on campus, from the brand new student union to new clubs being established. UNF is located on a nature preserve, so it's a beautiful campus. Plus, it is right by the St. Johns Town Center and the Avenues mall so there is plenty to do on the weekend. One negative aspect about this school is that it is not as well known as some of the larger universities therefore it doesn't always get the recognition it deserves. One experience I will always remember is having fun at some of the best concerts that students have brought to the campus.

I love this school! I think it has so much to offer as far as academics and extracurricular activities. There are so many opportunities available for UNF students, it is unbelievable. It's nice that UNF focuses so much on personal attention to it's students giving all of it's students opportunities to get to know top notch professors in and out of their field. Not only that, but there are so many things to get involved in on campus that there is something for everyone and especially so many leadership opportunities.
