The University of North Texas has a lot of 'Mean Green' spirit and so there are a lot of school activities showcasing this spirit. There is also I constant influx of newletters/emails about upcoming events and (sport) games. The facility and staff is very involved with its students. I find it refressing and fun but I you are the type of person that just wants to focus 100{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} on your schooling and would find this kind of school spirit distracting then this might not be the college for you.

In short, if you're not outgoing, you probably shouldn't attend. You can walk everywhere and every time you go out, you know someone! Most people are from close surrounding cities who like to make quick getaways back to home for some home cooking and laundry, so the weekends and summers can get a little lonely. Also, it is a musical school so there are people constantly out and about playing their instruments and singing.If music is not your thing, this campus probably is not either!

This school is very liberal, so if you are conservative you might feel out of place.

College isn't for everyone and everyone doesn't want to go to college, but I believe that answer lies in the type of person you are. Everybody has a comfort zone, but if you're not willing to step out of it in some type of way then you may suffer either socially or academically in your classes. If you don't like learning through peer mediation and communal instruction, to reach an understanding, then a 4 year university may not be suitable for you.

Close-minded individuals and hard-core partiers.

Students that don't have perseverance and cannot stand rejection must not attend the UNT College of Music. To be successful in my college, you must be able to take rejection and take it on as a challenge to try harder and try again to audition. You cannot be lazy and must practice music more than ever, especially in high school.

I would say that people who don't enjoy helping the environment such as being wasteful and careless about what they do and their impact on others and their environment, don't enjoy exercizing by using the relatively new rec center or walking to classes, or nature with the beautiful tree-filled campus should go to UNT. UNT has many, many different types of people. There is surely a place for any kind of person on campus.

I do not feel that any type of person should exclude themselves from attending this school.

The kind of person who should not attend this school is someone who wants to be just another number. UNT allows you to experience college life without getting lost in the masses. If you are looking to attend a very large university this is not the school for you.

If you are not a resident of Texas don't attend this school

People who are closed-minded, expecting five star education, or are huge football fans should not attend this school. There are a lot of "hipsters" and lots of gay, transexual, bisexual, etc. people on campus. There are also a lot of people here who should not be attending school in general who don't have the drive or intelligence to finish it out. The education is still great, but it's no ivy league; you get what you pay for. Despite our team's lack of success, there's still lots of spirit.

Do not attend this school if you like a small campus.

People who are close-minded and uninterested in campus activities should not attend this school.

Homophobic individuals should not attend such a diverse school. People as such would only burden themselves.

Anybody should go to UNT, it is a very beautiful campus.

Anyone can make it at UNT, however; the degree to which you want to succeed is based on your wants and determination. There are programs that allow you to succeed with minimal effort but you can also achieve greatness through rigorous programs with high pay-offs.

if you like to skip or just have no motivation to learn than you shouldn't attend this school. Although the classes aren't all that hard you still have to and need to be fully engaged so you don't fall behind.

Everyones pretty accepted, we are not really a big sports school, but the people in sports think they are so anyone.

If you are not patient, you should not attend this school. Why? The financial aid and scholarships services are not up to speed this year and there aren't enough funds to go around. Since I am a transfer student, my financial aid application was "late" and I did not get the aid that I needed. So I have been having to patiently talk to a number of people and haven't been getting clear answers.

In the past semester i have been attending UNT, i have met a lot of different kind of people. I dont really know what kind of person would not enjoy this school. However, a person who does not enjoy spending time working with or getting to know others may not want to attend UNT, because we learn a lot about networking here.

If you are an individual who feels most comfortable in a more reserved and uptight environment then, UNT is not the school for you. Here, the students and faculty are like family. Although it is a large campus, people are friendly and outgoing. Everyone speaks to everyone.

Tuition might be a challenge for out-of-state students. Someone who prefers a small town might not be comfortable here. UNT doesn't have every major.

A huge college sports fan, or someone who isn't in to an artsy/musician type atmosphere. Even as a science major at a school with a great science research program, there is no denying that UNT is a musician's school.

Anyone who isn't prepared to learn. The whole point of college is a higher eduction, but if you are unwilling to let yourself be taught you won't benifit from college at all. The grade is important but pointless if you don't try to learn more than what is required. Otherwise its like a very expensive continuation of highschool to buy time for those afraid to grow up.

I don't know. I beleve education is essential for the development of humanity. The Univesity of North Texas is a great school. It offers one of the best music progams in the country, therefore we have people from all over the world that attend to the school. With this diverse community one gets to learn from other cultures and truly see the beauty of individuals that share different perspectives of the world but a common ground on selfactualization. a peson who is not open to new possibilities and is afraid of diffrent ideas should not attend to this school.

A huge college sports fan

People who love living in a huge city might not want to attend North Texas, because Denton is more of a quiet suburb but Dallas is just thirty minutes away. Also if somebody wants to attend a small school with small class sizes like you would find in a high school then they sould not attend North Texas, because it is the third largest school in Texas. Some of the more basic classes could have a couple hundred people in it at one time, but once you advance further in your major class sizes could decrease to about thirty students.

If you are not an art, business, journalism, music or some other media centered person, you shouldn't attend UNT. It seems to be the main focus seems to be the arts. As a criminal justice major, it is frustrating dealing with some of the pretentious people.

The University of North Texas is very diverse and I can't really think of anyone who shouldn't go here. I guess, and this really goes for any college, people who shouldn't go to UNT are ones who don't care about grades or school spirit.

Someone who expects great sports should not attend this school.

The University of North Texas is for anyone. I wish I had more known more about it before I had attended other schools.

No one should attend UNT who isn't willing to put in the effort to be here. In my opinon this is a very good school and you need to be a hard worker to be here

You don't have to be liberal or artsy to attend this school by any means. However if you are despise the more liberal opinion or are unwilling to listen to any way contrary to your own then you probably wouldn't want to attend this school. Also if you are looking for a school which places an emphasis on the athletics of the school (primarily football)than you might not want to attend this school.

There is such a large group of diverse people, there is not really a person that could be stereotyped for this university.

Someone who is uptight, UNT is a very diverse campus, and there are many different cultures and ideas here. This is not a school where you come to play sports, most students are serious about getting a degree, and doing something with that degree. If you come to school to party and play football, don't go here you are wasting your time and you're wasting space.

A person who is totally unmotivated and doesn't want to do anything with their life should not attend this school.

You shouldn't attend UNT for the sports. The football here is laughable but the other sports are decent. If you want to attend a college in Texas for football, attend UT.

This is mainly a liberal arts college, which is expanding into other areas such as business. The campus personality is very diverse, though, so UNT is actually a good candidate for most types of people.

I also feel this is a good school for athletes. There is a very large recreation center and they have a whopping list of different intermural sports that one can register for. We also have an outdoor pursuit center, and on weekends in the spring and some in the summer there are camping trips that can easily be signed up for. Our acedemics are also high on the list, especially our art program it is one of the top rated in the state. People intersted in music would also enjoy this establishment.

A person, who is simply looking for or seeking limited training for a simple technical job should not consider UNT. Students who are seeking one of the highest levels of academic learning and achievement should definately consider UNT.

The Type of students whom should not attend thisschool are the students that take everything for granted and are not ready to learn and meet new people.

The University of North Texas is a very laid back school in terms of students. There are activities for virtually any type of person, whether it be an Material Science Major or Art Major. UNT is not just an art or music school, its a culture of mixed students from different countries all striving to better themselves.

Anyone can attend this school!
