Why did you decide to go to this school?

Brittany

I decided to go to UNT because I wanted the "college life" feel without going too far from home. I needed more independence from my parents, like living in the dorm, but i still wanted to go home for a home cooked meal and laundry service provided by mom. I toured UNT and fell in love with the campus, it is very pretty and not overwhelmingly large.

I chose UNT because I had heard awesome things about the Mayborn School of Journalism here, and since I am a Journalism major, that is one reason why I was drawn towards this school. Another reason I chose UNT is because it is only a 45 minutes drive back home. I have always been kind of a homebody, and I am extremely close to my family. I didn't really feel I was ready to be more then an hour away from my parents, so UNT was the perfect option! Is far enough away to where I won't run into my parents around town, but close enough where I can go home on the weekends, or run home after class if I forget something at home. Also, since I did grow up in the DFW metroplex, I am familiar with the area and never have to worry about getting lost if my friends and I decide to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth!

Honestly? Because I hadn't felt a strong pull towards any school for scholastic reasons, but I really liked the Honors Dorm at UNT! XD Also, they had an active anime club, so that was very attractive to me.
