Build more relationships with people younger me because in the work world its not always what you know, its who you know that can be very beneficial after college.
If i could go back and talk about college to myself as I was a senior in high school, I would tell myself one particular thing. I would tell myself to get all my college stuff done early rather than waiting a while to start. What I mean by doing it early is applying to schools when the first decision comes around. so you can have a second chance to get into the school if you don't get in the first time around. I would also apply for financial aid early because you have a better chance of gettting some financial help if you apply sooner rather than later. This way I would have a better chance to help pay for my college education and won't be in as much debt after I finish college.
If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high-school senior, knowing what I know currently about college life and still figuring out on how to make the transition, I would advice myself to apply to scholarships, financial aid, and university research early and ahead of time, to be able to get advanced knowledge on the process and steps needed to make a transition from college to a university. If somebody would of told me this earlier in my senior year in high school I would be much more advanced in my studies now. Currently I am working on my science associates degree, I am trying to transfer to medical school, and become a doctor. Most of my college courses now deal with biology and anatomy, botany, et cetera. I feel that due to the lack of knowledge back in my senior year, now I am suffering the consequences of being 22 and yet in my third year in college. Hopefully I will be able to advance someday when I am able to dedicate my whole time to school, and I dont have to work full time and study at the same time.
