In general I think the stereotypes are that Notre Dame students are rich, stuck up, and smart. The stereotype about the University itself is that we care a lot about football and that it is an academically challenging school and it is diffficult to get in.

Also, the Princeton Review often remarks that an "Alternative Lifestyle" is, in fact, not an alternative at Notre Dame. Currently I'm studying abroad in a program that isn't just for Notre Dame students...consequently, I talk to kids outside of Notre Dame and hear that most of them think Notre Dame is a bunch of rich, white, pretentious kids that never have to work for what they want, it's all handed down to them from "Daddy". I think there's also the stereotype that everyone is Catholic, and "super-overly-100% support everything the Church has ever said and done" Catholic at that.
