I love it! It is my dream school. The campus is beautiful. Hills and Rivers surround the campus. People stay close to campus. A lot of bike theft. Phil Knight donates all the time. Best track team in the nation. Rains a lot. Very unique buildings. The recreational center is insane.

I enjoyed my first year at UO! Students in some form are typically active with a drive in academics. It takes about 10-12 minutes to get across campus. It has the feel of large campus with a big student body but the community friendliness of a small college campus.

The University of Oregon is a pretty lively place. There is always an event, a club meeting, an office hour, or a study group to attend. It's really easy to get involved here and there are lots of options to choose from. The campus is beautiful, but it rains about 1/3 of the days here so be prepared. The party scene is pretty big, there are always parties on the weekends held off campus, but there are a lot of ways to get home safely from them via their shuttle service.

The University of Oregon is an excellent school. I am from Arizona yet I have never felt more at home being so far away. The academics challenge you and set you up for a successful future. There are many opportunities to grow as a person here and I believe this school sets students up to be something bigger than themselves.

Awesome school in a beautiful location. Clearly a public university, so sometimes funding can be hard to come by, especially coming from out of state. Overall, an amazing school with great spirit and nice people. Can't wait for a few more years here.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The good: It's an excellent education particularly if you're going for human physiology. In general the teachers are good and (with rare exception) passable. Student life is vibrant and it can be hard to keep up with everything that is going on. Whether it is religion that gets you going every day or Rocky Horror call back lines there is a group for you. Housing off-campus is relatively easy to find and less expensive than on campus housing. If you enjoy watching/playing sports there is a huge community for that. It really is called Tracktown USA for a reason. The bad: The culture on campus and Eugene in general emphasizes alcohol and marijuana. Both are legal in Oregon, but were massively present before it was legal. While neither are inherently bad, the emphasis did have a deleterious effect on many people's education. While the campus is not this, the town is currently (2017) very homogenous. If you are a POC, you tend to stand out here. That has begun to change, however it is notable.

I've loved my experience at the University of Oregon thus far. The UO provides a wonderfully inclusive and open environment to facilitate learning both in and out of the classroom. The staff, mother nature, and all those associated with the UO have helped to develop a beautiful and freshman-mindblowing plethora of opportunities and shaped a strong community that I am proud to contribute to and take part in. The university continues to work on their diversity and I strongly support and also push for greater action. I am also interested in the university's worldwide connections and involvement and would like to see the UO continue to increase the diversity of its study abroad programs.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Oregon is an amazing school. It has everything that I want in a school. Academics, social life, outdoor activities, sports and is close enough to home that I can go home to do laundry. The campus is beautiful and in the heart of Eugene, so it is easy to access anything the city has to offer.
