  7. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could talk to my high school self, I would tell her to go off to college after graduation and wait to start a family. Try to experience the life as a young adult before trying so hard to be a grown up. Some things in life can wait, especially if they are meant for you to have, children are one of those things. Though they are not a regret, being better prepared as a young woman, with a career, husband, and stable home, would have been a more enjoyable way to bring children into the world. Working two jobs and going to school to support us was not what I planned to do, but it is what I did in order to make sure we were taken care of.
