  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

    When I was in high school, I wanted to be an accountant. Due to a cancellation in the accounting 2 class, I decided to go into auto mechanics instead. If I went back in time, I would tell myself to stay the course and continue taking accounting courses at the local university. I was granted a small scholarship for the local university which would have helped me out greatly. I would tell myself to follow my heart and not let the cancellations prevent me from doing what I love. By continuing my education in accounting, my life will be a lot more stable and I will be a happier person for it. I would tell myself how my life has gone in the direction it has because of the choices I made back then. I would tell myself not to be afraid of going to a big campus to further my education and that the 4 years will pass by so quickly, I wouldn't even notice it. I would reassure myself that I can succeed in this field.

  6. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

    The most frustrating thing about UOP is the learning teams. You may get a team member who is lazy or does not do his or her work as well as other team members using family issues week after week. You fees bad because we all have family issues at one time or another, but it is hard that after a while of being in the same learnng team and becoming friends, you don't have the heart to confront your team member/friend and tell them they are slacking on their portion of the work.

    What is unique about the Univerity of Phoenix is the flexibility given to adult new students, like myelf. The opportunity to meet and network with other adults who are in the business world as well. This same opportunity allows us the opportunity to realize that we are all basically in the same boat. Everyone in the class is trying to balance home, work and school life.

  14. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

    I brag about the friendly admissions people and the ease of using the online process to get my degree. I work full time and can not sit in a classroom. But I do want to futher myself to make more of my life and my opportunities that are available to me. They offer a great deal of areas to study, with a wide range of advancement throughout right up to a PHd.
