I think that a person like myself is a perfect candidate for University of Phoenix Online. I'm a married mother of two who has not attended school in over 9 years. The way the programs are set up, make it ideal for adult students to get a second chance at a career. They give you step by step tutorials and provide resources that I didn't even know existed. They're so supportive, and have shown so much concern for me and my situation.

Being an adult, I was unable to go to a physical school because I needed to continue working full-time in order to keep my apartment. Online is very convienent and allows me to make my own schedule. This school is a great place for working adults. I am a single mother of two who has to work 40 or more hours a week. Having the opportunity to access an online school is very beneficial for me, because I can complete my classwork while my children sleep. However, if you do not have to work while attending school, I recommend attending a ground-campus. Online school is very hard, because you are responsible for keeping up with the work and learning everything, essentially, on your own.

A persone who is very focused and has a lot of time to engage in the student forums. If you have a busy social life or have other commitments this is not the place for you. It is very difficult balance school and personal life. You must above all prioritize and be dedicated to your education because if not, you will not have much success here. This online enviorment is very fast paced.

There are a few different "kinds" of people who schould attend this school. First, a person who had other commitments. For example a person with children or work. The person that should attend this school should be able to do tasks by themselves. If you take online courses you are solely responsible for getting working turned in on time and making sure that the readings are completed. However, in a classroom setting you are responsible for getting your work done, but there's more of a network to make sure you're getting things done.

This school is famous, in my opinion, for students who are goal driven and know exactly what they want. Diversity is wanted at this school, so essentially- everyone is invited. If you are opinionated, disrespectful, and non-motivated, you most likely should not be attending a college- especially the University of Phoenix.

Being online is very convenient for me and my family, I do not have to travel, spend money on gas, and pay for daycare. Someone who is better at working alone and can manage time wisely as well. This school is great for anyone with a busy schedule, whether you have small children at home or a full time job. You log into your classes at your convenience. The University of Phoenix (as far as I have experienced) is not focused on your GPA from previous schools, or your financial situation; all they care about is that you have a high school diploma or equivalent and that you are determined to earn a degree. A possible attendee will also need access to long distance calling for occasional situations.

Anyone who says they are too busy for school because they work would love this school. With online school you do not have to worry about being too tired after work to go sit through a two hour class. You can work on your assignments in your free time and the teachers are very supportive.

Even though I attend the online campus, it doesn't feel as though when I have someone such as Sandy, who makes me her top priority with every interaction we have. I am so excited and anxious for this experience.

I have found that the online format is also greaat for people who are more shy or less outgoing in person. You should be very self motivated and able to learn on your own. Since this is an on-line college, you are in charge of being disiplined enough to read the text in time to have the discussions with the class and be able to interact on the assignments from the professors. The other difficult part is being able to teach yourself. For example, in math, there are extra internet sites that UOP will send you to that will assist in the learning of a math method. This is very helpful and is how the rest of the courses are.

The main reason I chose the University of Phoenix is because the staff was so helpful during the enrollment process. This is a great school for busy adults who are trying to improve their quality of life by getting an education.
