University of Phoenix-Online Campus Top Questions

To be honest I don't have any stories about the school having a worst atmospher. I'm a online student and my interaction with the school is a little different thing what indivduals may not be use to . Now if I had to choose what was the worst thing aabout the school it would probaly be the closing of one of the campus that was near to me. By closing that campus change how I would go about prinitng my material for the class, arranging my day to study on the campus versus going straight one from work.

It's all about self discipline, if you don't know why you are going to school you won't have the drive to get yourself to the finish line. You have to get up everyday and make school a priority, even when you have everything else in the world right there in your face distracting you. You are your biggest enemy and your best ally. You could either push yourself the succeed or pull yourself down. With online schooling you are the key to your Success!

The worst thing about University of Phoenix would have to be when your Academic or Financial Aid Counselors get a new job. They do not get to tell you. They are just gone! You build a rapport with these individuals and you must start all over again with new people when they leave. This is very frustrating. Especially if the new people assigned to you are not compatible with your personality!

It is very fast paced and a lot of work.

There are plenty of wonderful qualities about University of Phoenix. The only thing that I would consider to be the worst thing about this school is the lack of preparation they give students regarding tuition and financial aid. Although the school offers plenty of resources on this topic as well as a personal financial advisor, in my case, the school had me so preoccupied with registering, orientation class and beggining courses, that I did not reach out to my financial advisor until I realized that I was already spending tuition money.

The hardest thing is writing a paper every week, and sometimes with team projects, there are two papers to do.

The worst thing about high school is letting myself be driven by other's wants and needs. I took what I wanted and my dreams forgranted in order to fit in with my friendships. When graduation came around everyone went off and did their own thing, meanwhile I felt like I stayed behind with no plan and instead went to the nearby commuter school since I didn't bother to plan to go to college.

I believe the worst thing about my school is the teams we have to use. There is an extreme emphasis on teamwork; however, team work online is very difficult and often times teammates do not come through with their share hurting my grade. I would put less emphasis on the team projects.

There is no face to face interaction.

That I dont have more time to spend on it.

The only issue I have come across with attending class online is that your fellow classmates are not on the same time zone as yourself, which can cause communication delays and delays in getting assignments submitted on time.

Any degree program after the associates requires a lot of group activities. While it is fun to interact with other people to work together on a project, it is not always ideal when other members of the team turn their portions in late. It is difficult to get assignments done on time with bad team members. But that is just it; you never know if your team will work good or not until it is too late.

The worst thing about my school is that it is so far away from where I live so most likely I will not actually have a graduation ceremony.

The worst thing about my current school is students who do not take their education seriuosly. Once an individual attains the level of graduate and doctorate programs they should be fully committed to the program. When completing team assignments I find it unconscionable that a student would simply not put forth effort. I'm also appaled at students who flagrantly attempt plagiarization. Regardless of ones academic level they must be fully committed and willing to put forth the effort needed to succeed. If one is unwilling or unable to complete the course work he/she should consider waiting.

I honestly cant think of anything that I could say is the worst about my school.

The cost of tuition is insanely high.

During the Bachelor's program, all classes are 5 weeks long, which means an extreme workload - going part-time would only mean longer gaps between classes, not a reduced workload.

The worst thing about the school I am attending is my Learning Team. There are five of us and out of the five, only two of us contribute anything to our assignments. While I realize there are those students who are not only attending college full time, they also have other obligations, such as full time jobs and families. However, time management is crutial in order to be a successful student.

The educators are not educators, they are paid babysitters that are required to post the same discussion questions for every class. If you have an actual acedemic question, they refer you to the internet or other students.

Paying for it haha but it is a great school. I have no complaints.

Learning Teams where half the team does not do any work but expects full credit for the assignment.

It is very fast paced and you have to be very dedicated to go to a school solely online. This school keeps you going year round and goes from one class to the next with no break. If you are not good at keeping a schedule and you tend to procrastinate, this would be hard for you.

Because it is online, sometimes the response or communication process can be slow.

The University of Phoenix is a great school and offers so many great programs to help their students exceed. So it is very hard to say what is the worst thing about my school, but if I could change something it would like a face to face online interaction with my class and my professor. Having a live class discussion rather than typing could be very proactive during the learning process. Moreover, being in the Military the University of Phoenix has been truly great and very supportive.

No campuses close by, so if there is no interent access avaialbe, someone may not be able to attend.

The worst thing about my school would have to be what I mentioned about having to be self-motivated due to it being an online campus. Being online and not having an instructor physically there to push you to do your work and explain things in person is often difficult.

The worst thing I consider about my school is I am paying a high price tag to basically teach myself online. The interaction between the professors and the students is slim. If I have a question for a professor I am treated as if I am questioning their knowledge. They do not repsond, as if the student is wanting to know and retain the knowledge. The professors seem to be unorganized with their syllabus and are continually adding and deleting information.

The worst thing about the University of Phoenix Online is that you have to decypher postings in the forums and the emotions behind them because you are not actually talking to the people in your class face to face, so sometimes words written are taken out of context because what is written comes across wrong or differently than what was intended and can cause strife in the forums between communicators.

As of this date I have not found anything negative about this school.

I do not think there is anything bad about the school I go to. I have had a great time so far learning all over again. The online atmosphere is great, the teachers are very helpful, and the program I am in is great. There is nothing I have to say negative about the school.

At times I do wish for a face to face interaction but thats not very often.

So far there isn't anything bad about my school, I enjoy that I'm taking my classes online

The worst thing in my opinion about University of Phoenix is their incorrect reputation of being a "degree mill". Also some people/employers look down on a degree from an online school...this is simply incorrect and based on assumptions that the school isn't accredited and of a lower caliber. After doing research on my own, I have found this information to be inaccurate and this school provides top notch education.

I believe the worst thing about my school would be the different ways each instructor conducts their class online.

The worst thing about my school is that they accept anyone who is willing to pay. There isn't any sort of acceptance process. This means that classes are full of students at drastically different learning levels. Smarter students are at a disadvantage because they are required to work at substandard levels inorder for other students to do well.

Honestly, the only factor that I have found that is not pleasant, is the accessibility of the website. It is hard to find some of the pages on the website and it is easier to use Google to search for what I am already looking for on the website.

There isn't anything that I don't like about this school. Faculty, staff, and students are helpful in anyway possible. Any student enrolled at University of Phoenix should be aware that everyone here wants to see you succeed. They are there at the beginning and stay by your side through it all. There is a life resource center which provides information for things such as childcare in your area in case that may be a hinderance to you for completing your education. Many schools would not take the time to make information available for personal needs such as this.

The worst thing about the school is the team assignments. Sometimes it is detrimental to you because some of the team mates do not turn in their work on time and this can become a situation. If your team mates do not turn in their part of the assignment the rest of the team is left to finish the project.

Team projects are always a sore and hard subject.

The only problem I have seen in UoP is that learning teams are often hard as some members do not like to do their parts of assignments.

The only thing that affects my educational experience is that it is online and although the professors do give individual attention, it takes time to get responses.

Make sure you leave time in your life to attend your classes and get your assignments in on time. If you are a part of a team, your teams depends on your cooperation, so keep an open mind and do your best.

Being that it is an online class I would have to say the worst part is how easy it is. This sounds weird but because it gives you the chance to be lazy.

The online learning environment is the best and worst thing about my school. I love the freedom but sometimes miss the hands on experience and lessons.

Math, it's just terrible online. One of the most difficult tasks I've ever done and I've been to Afghanistan.

Was when some calcuate my Finanical money wrong and I have to pay the difference for an error of the school staff. I felt they were not able to provide me with the right information at the time. I have tp pay back amost 2,000 which left me in a finanical trouble. I have been given wrong dates about refunds. As a student attending a University, I should have never been calculated that far off, when I provide them with all the correct information, the school only concern was that they were paid their money.

I can't find anything bad to say about the University of Phoenix, it's a great school.

The worse thing about my school is that I don't get an opportunity to meet personally the fine people that I have been in class with nor the instructors that go far and beyond their call of duty.
