The flexible schedule is the best part of the University of Phoenix. The reason being, I work for Walmart and my schedule is very demanding and not the same all the time.
It is career minded. It does not make me take random classes just to get enough credits. All my classes are related to my degree in some way.
What I consider the best thing about University of Phoneix is the support I get from the staff, instructors, and classmates.
The availavility for lexible schedules or classes. They are great.
The teachers are very knowledgeable in their fields and they are very helpful with assignments. Having the instructors who engage and have student participation within the classroom instead of just having lectures every class.
Students may choose to take their classes either online or on ground, which is very convenient.
The convenience of classes is great. Classes are once per week for a four hour block of time, the rest is done online.
I am in the process of enrolling for the term that will begin in late April 2012. The enrollment counselors are extremely helpful, courteous & knowledgeable. The U of P offers evening classes in a location that is not too far from my home or work, which is important to me because I neeed to work full-time while attending classes.
Having less then 20 students per class. You have better interact with teacher and students. The school undestanding that you not only are a student but also a parent. The teacher are well prepare for each class with very clear information. My academic conselor is well prepare to guide in the right direction.
You are in class and learning with mostly like minded individuals in regards to the choices that led the them (student body) to choose to attend U.O.P. The older age of the students really allows life experiences to be an addition to the application of the material being presented rather than a hindrance. The common goals and common pathways allows the students to gain additional knowledge and strength from those around them and helps to funnel the student to the desired outcome of finally obtaining the goal of a college degree.
I would have to say the flexiblity of my school is the best factor, I can be deployed and pick up right were I left off when I return home.
