University of Puget Sound Top Questions

Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

Katherine

The campus is beautiful, always green, and the people are friendly and welcoming to everyone.

Kelsee

My school is small, but its strength lies in the opportunties and relationships it has to offer.

Lukas

Our campus essentially sells itself in beauty. It is VERY green, boasting many tall, coniferous trees, and several open quads separate the buildings. All of the buildings are of a matching, red brick, tudor style. The newest buildings maintain this tudor style while incorporating more contemporary elements, such as a lot of glass. For example, the Oppenheimer Cafe is an entirely glass structure. The campus's beauty tends to leave an indelible mark on those students who visit it.

I would have to say it's somewhat Hogwarts-esque with all of the tudor-style brick buildings, in which style even the newest buildings are constructed. We have one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen and I'm stunned each day at the general upkeep. You are able to see Mt.Rainier in the distance from several of the residence and academic halls which is quite a sight. Some paths on campus weave through small groves of trees, fitting with our location in the pacific northwest. The new commencement walk ties the whole campus together stretching from Collins Memorial Library all the way to Baker Stadium across campus where sports games and commencement is held.
