In my experience, no, traditional Alabama stereotypes aren't true in a lot of cases, and USA is no exception. In the city of Mobile, there is a fair amount of cultural diversity. We also have some international students and a high African American population. We're pretty friendly, but I feel like we could do a better job of forming an overall image. I think there are too many different people from too many different backgrounds, though, for that to really happen.
I do not beleive the stereotypes are completely true at USA. It is not a white people school but a very diverse campus with a mixture of various ethnicities, religions, and cultures. Also it is not very dangerous. There is a police force that is located on-campus that patrols 24/7.
