Well, I don't know if there are any stereotypes about us except for the stereotypes that follow all Alabamians, like the old "dumb Southerner" image. I think people from Alabama, in general, are perceived as being backwards and xenophobic.
Well, i have not found a stereotype around here at all! Of course coming in as a freshman last year I thought to myself about all of the Greeks, all the jocks, and all the nerds but thats a typical school! You will find that everywhere! However, I have found that mostly you can make friends with anyone because a lot of people like to do the same things as others.
Take for instance the Intramurals! When i started flag football in September I can remember meeting all kinds of people! Everyone played flag football from the International groups to the sororities! It was awesome!
