THe University of South Carolina is and was a great school. There was nothing about it I didn't like. It exposes students to different cultures and expansive education. The university continues to grow and puts the money directly where it should go; students and research.

It's very crowded in certain places at certain times. You can't always get into events becasue a lot of people are already there and it's full.

The worst thing would have to be that "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing", which means that communication between the offices doesn't happen as often as it should.

The worst thing is that there isn't great diversity among students acccording to ethnicity. A greater diversity would make the learning experience better.

As an incoming freshman, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the number of students. It can feel difficult to find your niche in campus life unless you become involved with a fraternity or sorrority. There are a number of clubs and interest groups offered on campus but many younger students find these to be intimadating as well.

While the University of South Carolina is an oustanding school with hundreds of opportunitites in and outside of education, and I consider myself fortunate to be a student, I am rather frustrated with the number of students who attend and the amount of housing available for these students. Freshmen are required to stay on-campus their first year; while this is not a bad thing, the fact that the freshmen class is bigger than any other class and housing is limited means that other students are not guarunteed housing. In addition, USC doesn't guaruntee off-campus housing.

The University of South Carolina really is an amazing place to go to school and I can't imagine going anywhere else to earn my undergraduate degree. If I had to pick something to be the worst part about my school I would probably say that it is a Greek-run campus. I love this for myself because I am in a sorority, but for those people who are not affiliated with Greek Life I've heard that it is hard to find a place to fit in on campus (not always but sometimes).

The worst thing about my school is how far the buildings are spread out.

It is really a really spread out campus. It is not enclosed either. There is no set point when you know your on campus or not.

The parking situation on campus is difficult. The student parking lots that are cheap are not close to campus. However, the on campus garages have expensive hourly rates or you can buy a yearly pass for around $300 like I did.

The predominantly Greek culture is worst thing.

Sorority culture rules the school. I don't enjoy many of the events that the school puts on because they are catered towards sororities and fraternities. There is also an extremely small percentage of minority students here. The majority of the students are white and there doesn't seem to be any importance put on diversity.

The attitudes of some professors who teach at Carolina. The reason is that some of them, but not all of them, teach there to make a name for themselves, much less care about their students.

The worst thing about my school is the availability of on campus housing for people who are not freshmen. The quality of the dorms are not the best either besides the athletic dorms and some of the womens dorms. They are not terrible, but I would like if the others were nicer looking.

I would honestly say that the worst thing is the parking. I love almost everything about USC, but parking is so crazy. If you buy a pass, it's not as bad. But there is no cheap way to park on campus for the most part.

The worst thing about the University of South Carolina is that there are so many people on such a spread out campus. I consider this a bad thing because it is hard to get to know a lot of people. The dorms are very spread out so the only people you see on a consistent basis are the people in your own dorm. Meeting new people and making new friends is an important part of figuring out who you are and what you want to do with you life and the spread-out campus makes that slightly more difficult.

It's a bit far from home, but aside from that, I love it.

Parking is really horrible. There never seems to be enough for students. This is the one aspect of USC that could really be improved on.

The lack of diversity is definitely the worst thing about USC. There aren't really people from different cultures or ethnicities like there are in other major universities. There are a lot of in state students or students from the south in general.

Making friends outside of a sorority or fraternity is hard, but it is doable.

I would say the worst thing about USC is parking. The fact that there are thousands of students who attend this college and the school is located in the downtown area parking is very scarce.

There is no 24 hour dining available. And the stadium isn't located in the center of campus like most other universities.

I'm a transfer student starting school in the fall (next week) so I can honestly say that there is nothing i dont like about school so far.

So far my school is great, the tuition is a bit high.

There are a lot of things that aren't great about USC, but it's a bit hard deciding what's "worst." Probably the worst thing about the school is the online email interface. It constantly would time out and log you out while in the middle of an email without saving a backup copy, forcing you to retype long emails from memory. Also, aside from Windows-users who also use IE, it's pretty much impossible to forward your mail to a more sensible address, such as Gmail.

The worst thing about my school is the layout. The school has gotten so big that it is hard to plan schedules because you have to look at where classes are located in order to make it to class on time. Locating your classes is important because it takes at least fifteen minutes to get all the way across it and getting through traffic. Also, being in downtown makes the building older because we can't expand as easily as some other campuses around the country.

Since I am a History major, I would like to see a very diverse selection of History classes. There are only certain History classes that are available and while they seem interesting, I would like to see a greater selection fo classes.

When I was applying to colleges, the enrollment size of these institutions was not a deciding factor for me. But when I arrived to campus along with twenty thousand other undergraduates, I felt intimidated. How was I supposed to make a name for myself and find my niche? Thankfully, the University of South Carolina offers support systems such as University 101 classes and there are over 360 student organizations to become involved with. After I attended the student organization fair at the beginning of the semester, for example, I became involved with student government and an intramural sports team.

The homeless people. Meal Plans could be more flexible.

The worst thing i consider about my school would have to be the parking, since many students go to school during the day it makes it very difficult to park and go.

This worst thing about USC is that you get too connected to the university and the people you meet. Before you know it, graduation is sneaking up on you and you start experiencing your lasts: last football game, last Halloween, etc. It's easy to get really into the school and forget that your time here is short and once you realize that, it's a bad feeling.

It is not exactly handicap friendly. I don't believe this is fair for the handicapped people in wheelchairs.

Parking here is hard because we are in the city. I would have to say that is the worst but there are plenty of garages that students can get passes from.

The worst part about this school is the lack of interactivity between the greek community and the non greeks outside of sporting events. There could easily be more school sponsored events to try and include the entire student community. Universities seem to be more focused on their wallets then the overall well being of the students. We're just a source of income to them.

Class availability. It's really hard to get a seat in some necessary classes for my major. Some are only offered once a year.

The worst thing about my school is the visible separations. One can see that the sorority girl and the non-sorority girls do not hang out with one another, and this extends to people of different race and religion as well. This is horrible because it kind of takes away from the experience of learning and growing while in college. But if you are determined you can find friends that are diverse and interesting...if you look hard enough.

The worst thing about my school would probably be the amount of alcohol related events that go on. The college campus is located right next to five points (downtown area with a lot of bars). Most people spend their tuesdays, thursdays, fridays, and saturdays here or at the greek villiage where fraternities and sororities host parties.

I consider the worst thing about my school is the size. Its a fairly large campus so it takes a while to get from one class to the next. It would take some adjusting to get used to it.

The worst thing about USC is the tuition and materials cost. I feel it is tragic that students are forced to borrow thousands of dollars to obtain an education in order to be successful in life. Before getting my first job, I will be in debt in excess of $30,000 based on current tuition prices I have an internship as well as a part time job while in college and still have to get student loans. I graduated in the top 8{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of my high school class and have worked very hard to keep a 3.85 GPA.

There is not enough free parking for students. There are too many parking meters and a lot of the parking garages are far away from the classes. With the cost of tuition there should be more free parking for students.

Parking is always a problem. University houseing is constatntly pushing students to live off campus in order to cope with the limited space on campus, which requires students to drive. Students are left with little option other than to pay the enourmously expensive garage parking fees each semester (roughly $300/semester), or to come on campus an 45 mins early in order to find a parking spot and trek to class.
