Personally, I really enjoyed my experience going to the University of South Carolina in Sumter. Classes are small in size and professors are very straight forward. Every professor I've had is very friendly and is willing to help students if it is needed. The professors are also quite nice with working around work schedules if needed as week not bad experience especially as a starter college. A little downside though to the campus of USC- Sumter is the location. It also does not have any dorms or housing as the campus operates more like a community college.

The University of South Carolina at Sumter is a very respectable branch campus of the main campus of the University of South Carolina at Columbia. The college provides very accredited academics as well as athletics and clubs. The Student Life administration does their part every day on campus to make students feel welcomed to the county of Sumter, whether it is their home county or not. All faces of administration on campus are welcoming and willing to assist students of all backgrounds in any situation.

USC Sumter is a great beginner school for local students. It’s great because many students want that university experience but don’t wanr to stay on campus. Although, classes may be bigger; teachers still have open office hours. I love the fact that the school gives you the chance to have some classes offered on base as welll as online. Overall this school gets a great rating for me despite the 30 min drive. I recommend the teachers and the university they rock!

    Keep saving money, it will be something important. Nothing is cheap especially if you go out of state. Everything will be tough, but you can't let the stress get to you, if you do it will only make things so much harder. Just believe in yourself and everything will work out just fine. Even when they get so tough you feel like giving up, keep going because it will be worth it. And the teachers will be so much better, it may take them a while to get to know you and remember you, but they actually care. They arent teaching for the money, they do it because they love what they do, so ask for help if you need it. Just hang in there and keep trying and all will work out just fine.

  3. What kind of person should not attend this school?

    Someone who isnt ready for the university life just yet. It's a bit different from technical colleges and high school. You can't rely on the teachers to tell you what to copy down, you have to copy notes on what you think will be needed to know and hope it is right.

    The lack of classes that have to do with photography. They used to have classes for it but now they stopped, so I can't even get a major in it at the school.
