I would tell them that almost everybody is very friendly and polite. People strive to get better grades. We also have great division I athletics that are competitive. The faculty is very engaging and knows their stuff well. They will strive to give you the best possible opportunity to do well while still challenging you. There are many groups that one can participate in. There is a group out on campus that will fit your interests. We do have a great Medical School as well. The people at USD are wonderful and you will make life long friends there.
This University is as fun as it is challenging, modern as it is historic, and warm as it is cold?It is known for contrast. USD has so many options for the widest variety of students around the South Dakota area. Not only is the educational lever top notch, but the people here are very accepting and willing to connect in a fashion that is sure to give one a network of friends. The students and teachers I have met so far will benefit me for the rest of my life.
It is a mid-size school that places a strong emphasis on diversity even though diversity may be harder to find than in other areas of the US. The dorms are great for first and second year students because they allow for the greatest opportunities at a diverse social life. The bars are big, but only if you're 21 or older. There are almost too many student organizations out there to try, but get out and try at least three and I'm sure you'll find one you love.
That my school is very cheap... we drink a lot and I mean a lot. But its probablly cause of the lack of socail events don't get be wrong there are some just not that many worth going to. The midnight movies are always fun. I tell them we are going D-I in sports as well. It snows a lot and is very cold very cold i mean its south dakota!!! just sounds cold.
How perfect the size is. Not too big and not too small. All the majors listed. The cost compared to Iowa schools. It's out of state tuition is cheaper than all Iowa universities. The friendliness of the town and the people. The stores provided. The walking distance to any house or store or classroom.
I would brag about some of the professors I had, because even the courses I was not interested in were made easier and more fun to learn by a good professor. We also did a lot of interaction and real life activities that made the material easier to understand and remember.
I like to brag about the great friends that I have made. I also about all of the expansion that USD is doing and the great campus vibe. There is so much to do on Campus at any given day there is never a dull moment at USD, I love it!
I don't brag about my school. I have a business degree from them already. The degree proved to be of little value in the job market. This time I'm going for a skilled degree that doesn't depend on the college.
I brag about our beautiful campus, our food, and the overall social life!
Helpful professors and great technology.
