How to sleep at night and study in the morning.
Before I came to this school I wish I would have known more about others schools. I wish I would have known the campus better too.
I wish I had known how easy this process would be, as I had been putting off enrolling for years.
I wish I would have known how to use the Blackboard system. Even though I took the mandatory computer course on Microsoft Office and didn't really teach us about Blackboard, I still have no idea how to send out an email. I also wish I would have known about joining track since I lived off campus & didn't know about activities & athletics. Finally, I wish I would have known how warm and welcoming the students and staff are. The school still handles a lot of issues on a case by case basis, making it a very personal environment.
I wish I had known right away that it will take me one extra year to graduate before I came to this school. I would take more classes at community college that I could transfer here and pay less money.
There is nothing negative that I wish I had known. Only thing I wished I knew was my personal limits with juggling school and personal life.
BEFORE COMING TO THIS SCHOOL, I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THE TRUE MEANING OF PATIENCE. AS SOON AS I GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL, I WAS ALL OVER THE PLACE, MOVING FROM CITY TO CITY TRYING TO LIVE "LIFE". I WAS SO EAGER TO "GROW UP" AND FINISH COLLEGE, THAT UNFORTUNATELY I DIDN'T ENJOY MY FIRST TWO YEARS OF COLLEGE AND ALL TOGETHER I QUIT SCHOOL BECAUSE I FELT THAT I WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHING ANYTHING AT THE PACE I WAS GOING. FORTUNATELY FOR ME, THE PEOPLE AT ST. FRANCIS MADE ME TAKE A STEP BACK AND ENJOY COLLEGE LIFE.
How expensive the education is.
I wish that I would have known how difficult it was to find parking. And to always keep in mind that everyone is there to help if needed. The staff at USF are all very approachable and they all want you to succeed. If you have a question or something on your mind, you should ask. They all want to help.
I can't remember anything that I would have known before I started this school.
Before enrolling in St. Francis, I wish that I had known the the college was so traditional. For my program, there are not many night or online classes available.
if you know exactly what you want to do, thats great go to school and work hard.
I attended Joliet Junior College prior to the University of St. Francis, mainly for financial reasons. I thought it was more economical to attend JJC. However, with the assitance of Financial aid and student loans, I am able to attend the USF just as easily. The four years I spent earning my RN, ADN at Joliet Junior College, I could of had my RN ,BSN from USF.
I have not found anything I wish i would have known before I came to this school; I did my research before deciding on this school making me well aware of everything.
Nothing. Everything was explained to me in an understanding enviroment.
I am in the nursing program, and I wish I had known a few things before I started. There are quite a few “extra” costs outside of the tuition that I was not informed of. Books are extremely expensive, and not all the teachers utilize them. As nursing students we spend extra on uniforms, drug testing, personal background checks, and required immunizations. We also have to have money for all the driving expenses to our clinical locations. I think they should have informed the students of these hidden costs.
I wish I would have known a little more about the initial process of getting acquainted with the online serives the school provides. I was a little lost at first because I was unable to get into MyUSF and it was causing some frustration. Other then this the school provided me with a lot of good information related to the college itself and details about the program I will be enrolled in.
Nothing really. Everything you need to know and see was laid out during the the time you visited or during your orientation time.
I wish I had known how I could make it work financially and the best course of action regarding my major. I came in as a Music Ed. Major and found myself frustrated trying to do both Music and Education course and nearly burnt out. I made some changes, but also ended up wasting a few class slots on classes I ended up not needing. I'm still graduating, so it's not the end of the world. Just a little inconvenient.
I wish I had know that being nervous about attending a new school is a waste of time. The people at my college are extremely friendly and welcoming to everyone. I wish I had known not to worry about being an "outsider" but to be excited to become a new member of a great community.
that this school was mainly a commuter school.
How challenging my major can be. The course load can be a bit overwhelming at times (especially around midterms and finals). However, in all other aspects St.Francis has most certainly reached my expectations. I am very satisfied with the structure of the course work as well as the professors.
