My overall opinion of The University of the Incarnate Word is amazing. The campus is very beautiful and it’s very diverse with students from all different backgrounds. The school is great for students that seek for a smaller classroom size and campus. The people there are wonderful and very kind. They will help every step of the way to success.

The University of the Incarnate Word is a beautiful campus. I've visited several times and have often heard many great things about it. I am always excite to go back and learn more things about the school. The professors are encouraging and treat every student as a person. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming. It is super interesting to see life on a college campus. UIW is by far my favorite campus and I love everything about it.

It is great school it makes you feel like you belong there the professors are always available and the ratio is 1 to 25 so it makes it feel like a high school classroom which is such an amazing thing. The security at the university is safe there are police officers there and there are also many activities you can do, and making friends is such a piece of cake.

Good school but signing up for classes is near impossible because all of the advisors are utterly useless, incredibly rude, bad mannered and refuse to help their students. Faculty advisors completely ignore the students they’re supposed to advise, they never answer calls or emails, they don’t want to speak to anyone who isn’t in their class

Very helpful, excellent staff, and very happy to be attending. I have been accepted into their BSN program to earn my bachelors degree in nursing, the campus is huge with many beautiful locations to study, the artwork is exquisite, food options are readily available, and the overall ambiance of the university is very comfortable. The staff is extremely helpful when needing assistance.

The University of the Incarnate Word is definitely an extremely diverse community. In my three years attending the University, I have met a variety of people from all different countries, backgrounds, and cultures. I myself rarely had been exposed to other cultures before attending Incarnate Word, and with the school’s wide-range of international students, I was able to experience different kinds of people from all over the globe. The professors I have been blessed to have teach me are wonderful, full of life and greatly encourage students to participate and engage in the classroom, whether it be with the professor or other classmates. They have always been available to me, whether it be related to school material or not, and make it a priority to create one-on-one relationships with their students. Campus life is always active. There is hardly ever a day when you do not see a club, sorority or fraternity, student associations and even faculty out in the patio areas or along the walkways representing their respective organizations and engaging with students. The University of the Incarnate Word is also very active within the city’s community. Several events are held on campus, such as Alamo Heights Night, Light the Way, and Fiesta throughout the school year. Aside from these events, the University also encourages students to volunteer in the community, which I personally think is essential in molding students to be well-rounded and active citizens in their communities. It is also part of the University of the Incarnate Word’s mission to give back and help the community, just as the first three religious sisters who came to San Antonio did in their ministry. All of this, and much more gives the University of the Incarnate Word a sense of uniqueness and close community. I am proud to be a Cardinal, and encourage anyone who wishes to be part of an extraordinary mission and school to apply here.
