The lack of school spirit
Because Pacific is a private university it is very expensive. However with a guarenteed 4 year degree, and the endless resources, it is worth it.
I have no complaints, Pacific is a wonderful school and I would choose it again.
The worst thing about the school is how expensive it is. Mainly because I come from a low income family and FAFSA does not help to pay for everything I need to pay for and my family must pay for the rest. I believe that it is well worth the money, but coming from a low income family does not help.
The school itself is pretty expensive which can be frustrating and the bookstore is the same situation as well.
The bioengineering program did not have enough classes which focussed on the integration of biology and engineering.
People do not really know what is going on at school a lot of the time or feel secure there. Administration can be kind of sneaky and sometimes, students have to act like investigators to know what is happening around campus or with the revenue from our increase bills. The school too, despite being so small can be kind of bureaucratic. Public Safety on-campus is kind of a joke and since we live in such a crime-ridden area, it is pretty scary.
The worst thing about the school is the lack of entertainment on the school grounds. The school doesn't offer very much to do for fun on the weekends so it can be hard to find any.
The location- Stockton has the highest crime rates in the nation the last time i checked
Nothing huge jumps out at you as being bad, just some small or inconvenient things. Like not being able to control the temperature in your dorm room. Or the small number of stations open in the dining hall during the lunch rush. Just small nusiances, nothing glaringly bad.
It can get very cold in that area. For those not used to that weather, it can be hard. But there are many shops in the area, free internet to order, and mail room with that recieves packages for students for free.
School Spirit. Students don't feel proud about going to the university due to the surrounding area of stockton being terrible. Possibly if the location was in a better city, there would be greater participation in school activities.
Housing has been an absolute nightmare. It is difficult to get direct answers and every year is a gamble getting the place that you want. Also, it would be nice if it wasn't such a small school. Rumors tend to spread fast and there tends to be little privacy for yourself since every one knows everything that goes on around campus.
anything relating with getting signatures, filling out paper work, and the food avaliable. Most paper work requires multiple signatures and it is puto n the student to roam the campus to get them usually on a time crunch. The food is not the best quality, and there is limited selection, even with the new university center open. The meal plan is aggravating becasue it is over priced and those who have a means to make their own food and live on campus are foced to waste their money on the meal plan.
social prestige
The worst thing about the school is the location. Stockton is not avery fun or good place to live. Most people hate the city.
