I attended the University of the Virgin Islands on St. Croix for two years. I enjoyed having small sized classrooms and having campus close to the residence hall. I loved trying new food in the caf and learning about the different cultures the island has. My professors were all very knowledgeable, helpful, and personable.
It's hard for me to give this school a definite rating because of the many pros and cons. On one hand the class sizes are great which makes the professors easily accessible and willing to help students. While on the other hand the campus being so small creates a lack of campus life and opportunities for students to branch out and further their current interests or find new ones.
The University of the Virgin Islands it a family. Everyone knows everyone and it’s like a working oil machine. You can see that the faculty and staff of the university want you to succeed in college and in life after college. Which is why I choose UVI.
It provides a safe place for students as well as makes them comfortable to enjoy the typical “college life”. The students are academically driven to further there education and get it by any means necessary. Professors are willing to make themselves available so that the students get whatever they need done. The high standard of everyone involved in making college a great place for learning shows that this University wants what’s best.
The University of the Virgin Islands is good in academics and cheap for those who are looking for an affordable education. It is well secured and has a variety of activities one a can attend. It is easy to have a social life because the people here make it easy. They are welcoming and kind.
The University of the Virgin Islands is very diverse and welcoming university. There are many opportunities for the students who attend the school. I would recommend the University of the Virgin Islands to anyone looking for a different experience in a beautiful and historic island!
The University of the Virgin Islands is a great school in regards to academia, there is room for improvement in the amount of extracurricular activities that are offered including but not limited to sports, on-campus entertainment, student life involvement, and clubs and organizations. The Classes at the university consist of small sizes that allow room for more in-depth teaching and more student-teacher communication. it is overall a great university with some improvements to be made.
