As I've been attending college I've learned that it's very important to continue through school. I graduated highschool at the age of sixteen, work full time and volunteer. Through all of this working in retail requires long hours with very little time. I've learned that getting an education is key because you can have a career instead of just a job. While going to school I see lots of students that are trying to get their degrees at an older age, and I see their struggles. I know that since I've accomplished alot a young age I should take advantage of that and go to school while I can.

I have gotten so much out of my college experience so far that it has been eye opening for me. I think that it is very valuable to attend college for so many reason's. I found several college's that would take me, but they wasnt right for me. I looked up a local college that gave me the best experience in going through the enrollement, that I was ready to start the same day. They valued me as a person and not just by the money that I was going to be paying to go there. The other college's acted like they didn't have the time to answer your questions. I went with the college that took the time to answer any and all of my questions that I wanted to ask. I value everything that Daymar has to offer. A great education, friendly enviroment and support. If I was to go online and try to get the type of degree that I want, I wouldn't have the support that I would have at school. It is very valuable to be able to attend to get the support that you need.

After coming from a different country and a traditional classroom, with a blackboard, into modern technology and being able to learn in a virtual setting has been amazing! Your ability to be educated becomes endless with the internet, instructors and your ability to tap into many resources. Plus you can do it from the comfort of your own home in your PJs, you have to appreciate that. The value of an education is so vast, where do you begin. So without my education, we could not afford the blessings of the family that we have. Nor could I be involved in a job I absolutely love to go to every day.

I would tell myself that college requires a great amount of self discipline. You may have made it this far, but it will be easier for you in the long run if you start making the transition now. Even though you are able to receive A?s by studying three hours daily, some days you should push to four hours. It also helps if you do more work than you believe is necessary. I am quite sure that no one accomplished great things by doing the minimum amount of work. You should also worry less about due dates and focus more on what is due. You have wasted a good portion of your life worrying. You will accomplish more if less time is wasted on worrying and more time is spent preparing. The most important thing to keep in mind is that no one really fails from trying his or her best. Even if you do not succeed the first time you try, you still gain the learning experience. You will also be more likely to succeed the second and third time. You have only truly failed, once you give up.
