University of Vermont Top Questions

Why did you decide to go to this school?

Hannah

It ended up costing me the same as it would to go to Penn State University (and also no one that I knew was going here which was refreshing).

As soon as I came to visit UVM I just felt right. The campus was active, it was close to town, and the people seemed so nice. It is also only an hour and 45 minutes away from Montreal, a city that I really love. UVM was also close enough to home for me to be able to go home any given weekend, but far away enough that I could break free and start my own life. Everything in Burlington is within walking distance from campus to it is easy to live independently. Also, the amount of bacon and maple syrup around is a plus.

I decided to go to UVM for many reasons. I would say that the number one reason is because of the people that attend UVM. All of the students are energetic, kind, welcoming, and most of all happy. The vibe on campus is incredible. People are actually enjoying their time while walking to class and you can see that from the second you step onto campus. The environment is so relaxed that going to class isn't something to dread, but rather a time to hang out with friends while being challenged in a rigorous academic setting.
