I think that this campus is very large but also beautiful. From what I've heard, the class sizes, it is overall very large. That is something that I do not enjoy about learning in a large environment like at the Universtiy of Washington- Seattle. I think that there should be some smaller classes because some students might be able to work better in a smaller class environment than in a large lecture hall with over 300 students.

I love it here, it is very diverse which is a quality I think is an advantage of UW-Seattle. There are a lot of people so people are able to hang out with the people that they know and are comfortable with. I think everyone will be able to fit in if they manage to find the right people.

When I first visited the campus I could feel the positive atmosphere it had. Walking around students seemed intelligent and focused on academics. The University of Washington is a school with spirit and pride. The academics are phenomenal and there is so much extra available help to receive.

Racist students at UW. These huskies lash out at the slightest provocation. In real life dogs are very aggressive if untrained, so the mascot tells it all. You learn here quickly to be silent and learn from those who were more senior in time and experience. Also the math and computer science majors are way too competitive. Even physics is now 'competitive". The architecture department has numerous 6 credit classes, upper division math classes have 3 credit classes instead of 4-5 credits, and the astronomy department requires you to complete 3 weed-out physics classes unless you hapen to have taken AP Physics C Mechanics AND Physics C Electromagnetism.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The University of Washington-Seattle Campus is a excellent and prestigious school with a lot of different majors and academic interest to study. There are many majors and minors that someone who doesn't know what to study can explore and find something that will interest and become passionate about. Also there are various resources and people who could help people either find something that will interest them to study and become comfortable to adjust to a large school.

The University of Washington in Seattle, WA is a beautiful and extravagant place! I feel welcome everywhere, there is always so much to do, and there is a large variety of majors and minors to choose from at this campus! I never realized how much I enjoyed learning until I came to UW and I always find out interesting things about the school's past/history that make it such a unique place to be. I love being a student and attending this university!

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The University of Washington (Seattle campus) has a beautiful campus, small class sizes (generally) in highly-rated academic programs, and focuses heavily on research. With that, there are many opportunities for students to get involved academically. Additionally, I have found it common for professors (and students) to span multiple departments and disciplines, which makes UW a great place for novel classes, research, and conversations. UW also caters to many non-traditional, transfer, and commuter students, with specific resources just for them to help them succeed. The facilities are great, and there are small gyms besides the IMA around campus. The campus food is okay, but there are a ton of amazing restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk of campus. Lots and lots of coffee on campus, although it is all Starbucks. There is much better coffee off campus, again a 5-10 minute walk away.

I absolutely love the campus. There is a mismatch of various buildings, the campus is pretty large, and while on campus you do not realize that you are in the middle of Seattle. My instructors are excellent, know their material, and the class sizes are small. I am not into any of the Greek organizations, but I love the number of artistic opportunities available on and off campus. This is a great school and I would encourage everyone to check it out.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Univesity of Washington is an excellent university filled with resources to help students succeed in their college journey. There are countless of extracurricular activities (i.e. clubs, organizations) students can join depending on their interests and they are all extremely inclusive. What I love most about UW is their dedication and passion in guiding students' success - there are resources available for almost everything. Whether you are struggling with an academic concern, a mental/physical issue or seeking guidance with sexual assault or gender identity, UW ensures their students are treated well and fairly. The community at UW is also beautiful, everyone goes out of their way to make sure everyone, no matter their background or differences, feels welcome and safe. University of Washington is an amazing university and I am glad I am part of such a welcoming, beautiful community.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

With it being my first year, I haven't had much time to explore because I'm not accustomed the the course load that is required as part of being a college student. But I live on campus, and what I've seen so far, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and often see multiple events happening daily so there's not much of a chance to be bored. The food is pretty good and if you get tired of it, there are a variety of places on the ave that are easily accessible. During the many times I got lost trying to find my classroom, I've had the opportunity to find a lot of less known spots around campus like the coffee place in the basement of the arts building and the quiet studying place at the very back of the Allen library. The university really strives to be inclusive and prides itself on its services for minorities. They have places like the IC that offer private tutors in all subjects and have the ECC where there are a variety of services that are offered. Multicultural events are also held periodically which are always fun to go to. It's definitely a source of pride to say that you go to the University of Washington due to its low acceptance rate compared to the other post-secondary institutions in Washington state. I'm really glad I have had the opportunity to come to this school. Go Dawgs!
