A leading university with world-class professors. A beautiful campus in the Northwest with gentle views. The spring blossoms are something that everyone should see and experience.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

UW Seattle is a place where students can thrive and learn about themselves and others. I always feel comfortable on campus and it't not uncommon to smile and wave. Though the campus is very large, it feels like a community, not just a group of buildings. My on-campus housing has been wonderful so far, though the food options and food plan tend to be a bit dissatisfying. The professors here all genuinely care about the students and subjects they are teaching and inspire me everyday with how passionate they are. I feel thankful to be at a University where the student comes first.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

As a former Grad student, I found this university to be my least favorite. Absolutely no accessibility to not only the professors but their assistants as well. The online Graduate course is not even part of the University, but rather an extension of the University. So getting any logistical questions answered (tuition, etc.) is a nightmare. The online platform is just chat board with no intiative for discourse and no other platform with resources. If you plan on entertaining U of W for online grad school, I would advise anyone who is interested to look somewhere else. This school is a time and money suck, and a complete regret.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Studying in the University of Washington, with huge diversity in its fields of Architecture, Art and Planning, is a great opportunity in which I can learn a lot from and broaden my horizons. Therefore, in this atmosphere, different majors can act as courses for developing interdisciplinary knowledge as well as ideas, just by communicating between different students and professors in various departments. Moreover, it is axiomatic that faculty members are the key elements of a university and are the main reason students can develop their vision. Regarding these issues, I profoundly believe that the University of Washington is a good place to pursue studies and take a great step towards objectives and goals.

The campus is very beautiful, especially when the cherry flower is booming! I like their buildings and a lot of libraries. The location is very good which is very convenient to a lot of restaurant, shops, etc. It's not too far away from Seattle downtown, and close to Amazon corp and many other big companies, as well as convenient to the Sea-tac airport.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

The University of Washington is a giant community filled with many people from different backgrounds. The dorms are very well kept and has a very welcoming community. The food is decent, but when it is not breakfast, lunch, or dinner hours, there is pretty much only pizza unless you go out on the Ave or somewhere else. Overall, the community is great and fun.

Excellent campus and student opportunities. The academics are well versed and the students are very helpful. I would expect them to continue this trend. The University does charge unnecessary fees and some are outrageous- $200 per quarter for parking.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I've known that the University of Washington was where I belonged, ever since the 8th grade. It was the best college in my state, and it was set against the backdrop of my favorite city. So many college towns are located in rural areas and small communities, but I was drawn to the never-ending events and bright lights of Seattle. My first year of college had its inevitable ups and downs, but as I found my footing I tried to appreciate every moment that I was learning. I think the University excels at a lot of things; they value the opinions of students, and the campus is so large that it is easy to find a niche that speaks to you. The largest problem I’ve seen at UW is one that many large campuses face. They place a lot of energy, time, and money into their STEM programs, and I believe they should give more attention to the arts and humanities. I realize this is a hard task, especially from all the donations given by the Gates Foundation and illustrious companies like Amazon and Boeing. But the constant presence of these companies on campus creates an atmosphere where these are the only jobs that matter. We need to show students that the world can’t only be made up of engineers and doctors. The need for artists and therapists is just as significant.
