My classmates are so diverse, and from many different backgrounds, coming from all over the world, and joined together in a single classroom.

Sometimes they can be focused which can be misunderstood as rude or pushy.

There are a heck of a lot of people, so you end up ignoring most people you see. The people you get to know are usually nice, but you have to make an effort to get to know people.

The people I met in my class were warm and friendly people, who I enjoyed spending time with in and outside of lecture.

An energetic bunch who take their classes seriously, and manage to have a decent social life as well.

I think there are only two kinds of students in every class i attended. There are students who study so hard and other students who don't care about it. Anyways, in every class, students are very competitive at this school.

UW students are diverse, open-minded, liberal-leaning, active, intelligent, ambitious and also know how to have a good time. Students here are the over-achievers of their respective high schools, whether that be in athletics, the arts, or academics. We are a top-tier representation of some of the country's brightest.

The majority of my classmates are very friendly and open to making new friends. If you have a question about notes or class they usually try to answer without hesitation. They are open to diversity and accept differences.

There is no one way to discribe my classmates due to the large diversity of people at the University of Washington.

I could not describe my classmates in one sentance because UW is such a diverse campus that there are students from all different backgrounds with very different perspectives.

Friends for life!

In huge classes, you only get to know maybe one or two people during the quarter. In these big classes you'll usually find at least one person who you click with. In smaller classes here, you really get to know your classmates better... it's almost like being back in high school. We have the usual range of students here in just about every class: at least one know-it-all, the suck-up, Greeks, people who really are smart (but still humble), people who struggle with the work/tests, friendly kids, weird kids, funny kids, tired kids, etc.

There is an enormous variety of people at this school. Its impossible to generalize what classmates are like; a lot depends on the type of class you're considering.

Very diverse crowd. Some young, some old, mixed genders and races.

Ambitious and cut-throat, especially the premed kids.

My classmates can be fun and easy to get along with sometimes. Other classmates can be annoying -- especially when they talk all through class (if you want to talk, don't come to class -- some people are actually trying to learn stuff). It can also be annoying when people fall asleep in class or are making a lot of movements/shifts making you uncomfortable as well.

My classmates were there to get a degree, have fun, and then get out.

Unless I have met my classmates previous to the class, it is very unlikely that I will form a relationship with them. I see a new face and I sit next to someone new everyday. Therefore, more often than ever, my classmates are like strangers.

Fun people who still get their schoolwork done.

My classmates fall into two categories: extremely intelligent individuals who could not afford to go to a better private or out of state college, and not-so intelligent individuals who got into UW because they did well in a WA state high school by taking easy elective classes.

I absolutely love life at the UW. Students are eager to learn and motivated to succeed. I couldn't ask for anything more out of my classmates.
