I consider the advising and career services as the best thing about the school. Because the university is located in Seattle, we have major corporations like Microsoft, Boeing, and Starbucks and even our own hospital, so most students have jobs before graduating.

The enourmous amount of knowlege I am constantly surrounded by and the professors who distribute it. Thelarge population is such that anyone can find a group they fit into.

The opportunities are endless... the calibur of faculty and research that's conducted at UW is fantastic.

The physical campus and libraries are beautiful and having to walk across the huge campus is a sort of meditative break. It's a nice place to be.

If you get a good class, professors are really engageing and fun. You will always learn something new. If you are worried, just ask someone, and people will always have input on what classes you should take!

There are so many options, wether its what to study, where to live, where to work, the possibilities are endless.

Lots of oppurtunities for all types of people

I would have to say that the people that attend the University of Washington and they way we interact with each other may be the best thing for me at school. Knowing that everyone is friendly and willing to help you with anything you may need help with puts me into my comfort zone and allows me to just be me. That's something I value because it is in an environment where I spend half of my day and to be surrounded by such people is fascinatig.

Being able to come into contact with people from all around the world with different ideas and beliefs.

The interdisciplinary nature of the school and options to take a wide range of courses. Also, scholarship and funding options.

Libraries and football and basketball games.

The availability to get help from professors or TAs when needed and also the availability of other tutoring programs.

Its located in a big city that has many activities outside of campus

I like the diversity of the student body. It's given me a chance to develop new friendships and grow personally as I learn new cultrues. They have challenging classes and encourage you to fulfill your goals and dreams.

Very good courses that keeps the student well focused. They do make the student work for their grades. Also, lot of supportive computer, tutoring, internet, and systems.

The people here are smart but still very down to earth and fun, and I love being at a division 1 sports school because there is alot to do on weekends.

UW leaves the decision of partying vs. focusing on academics to its students. I do think the lack of appealing on-campus housing is cause for large Greek system. The best thing about UW is that it's in Seattle.

The diverse student population is definately a plus but the overall surroundings of the campus, it's buildings, it's lawns and it's closeness to all of urban seattle makes it just that much better.
