My classmates are all hard-working individuals who have a strong passion to learn at this school and to excel in their field of study.

Being that I am in the teacher education program, many of my classmates are nurturing, compassionate, organized, and academically driven, but those that more generally surround me on campus tend to be expressive, ethnically diverse, majority liberal, and intelligent.

Everyone here is very diverse. There are people of all types and everyone seems to find their niche at UW-Madison. People here have a "green" attitude and are extremely open-minded. Classmates are friendly and I've made most of my friends here by meeting people in small working groups in classes.

The opportunities and options are so vast at UW-Madison that everyone has the ability to engage in their own favorite activities, thus my classmates are very different and diverse.

My classmates are all geniuses that are all in the same boat as me in the fact that they are going to college in the hopes that it will bring out their full potential to change the world as they know it.

Everyone at Madison is really intelligent and motivated to do their best. Even though there are some people who don't really care, the majority are taking this time in their lives seriously.

Usually outgoing, friendly people. Unfortunately, they also tend towards laziness. I'm not saying they don't get their work done, but I've heard of all-nighters and other crazy things happening when exams or due dates are approaching.

Everybody is there to learn and to receive good grades. Students who participate and ask questions generally learn more in the classroom. They form study groups inside and outside of the classroom. Also my classmates are usually very helpful and they work together in order to solve a problem.

Most of my classmates are very competitive, determined and motivatied to succeed in their classes and outside the classroom chill out and have some fun with friends or with people they have never met.

Although all students that come to Madison are of the highest caliber students, my classmates cultural backgrounds and experiences that enabled to get them accepted to this fine university are as varied as the disciplines the choose to pursue.

Classmates come from so many backgrounds and places. I've never met people so similar to myself, yet so incredibly different. It truly makes me value each person's uniqueness.

My classmates at UW-Madison are some of the most focused, creative, open minded people I have ever studied with. Among the smartest, are also the most modest, and are always willing to lend help to other students. Many of the the students I sat next to in lecture became my study buddies, friends, and room mates. Many of my classmates have become my close friends, with whom I can carry academic and casual conversations with. I would suggest to all first year students not to hesitate to sit down next to anyone in class and start a conversation.

Most of my classmates are driven and want a lot out of life. They know how to have fun and get things done. However, unfortunately, there are some that are only here to party.

This is a big school, so there's a huge variation in the types of people you'll find in your classes. The more your class is related to your major, though, the better the chance you'll have of finding people with similar interests.

Overall, my classmates are very focused on their work when they need to be, and very curious and passionate whether or not they have massive work loads.

My classmates are acedemically oriented but still a lot of fun. They love to drink and party, but they also work really hard. They have the mentality "work hard play hard". Our sports are also very popular and people are excited and dedicated to our school.

Classmates are okay although they need more training in race relations as they are unware of such things.

Depending on the class and the teachers/professors, classmates could become your best friends and best tutors and at the same time they could just be strangers sitting in the same space.

In my science classes, my classmate are very competitive since most are pre-med, but in my social science classes, my classmates are more willing to help out eachother.

Classmates were very driven students who were very career conscience. They were the most competitive students a fellow student could ask for because they required that you push yourself to your maximum potential.
