What makes UW-Milwaukee unique compared to other schools would definitely be the relationship the entire Freshman class has. When I first got to UW-Milwaukee, I felt overwhelming welcomed by a ton of students. I also asked others how they felt, and they agreed. They also felt very welcomed, especially for UW-Milwaukee to have such a large student body.

The pleasent smell of home is always right around the corner.

I think that it was a big university with a small time feel.

I fell in love with Milwaukee the moment I first visited it. The city and lake are just beautiful. I love how diverse this school is compared to any other school I have visited.

This school is much more diverse compared to the community college that I previously attended. Though the campus is not the biggest, it satisfies any student to complete their undergraduates degree and more.

Well UW-M is defiently in a different area and more diverse then the other schools i considered.

The unique thing abour my school is that it displays diversity.

The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee has a very diverse population. That being said it is very easy to become integrated into the campus community and connect with piers. Also that school allows students to commute or live on campus, thus saving students money by being able to live at home and go to a major university

It is close enough to downtown, but far enough away to not feel too compact and busy.

The location is awesome. right next to the beach, a mall and a lot of nice areas to go such as downtown milwaukee. The people are all very friendly and helpful and you never feel like you don't belong

UWM is a very diverse school. Since attending UWM i have learned of many different living accustoms, religions and ethnicities. UWM is unlike any other school I was considering because its highly diverse. UWM has broadened my horizons and opened my mind to lifestyles i never even sought of prior to my attendance.

There is a diversity of people with departments that host alot of events that celebrate different cultures. There is amazing staff within my department that definitely want to see you succeed.

What's unique about my school compared to other schools would be the many different kinds of clubs and activites. They have just about everything. They have soccer, tennis, floor hockey, football, volleyball and other sports for students to go in. They have a womens club, gay/lesbian club, American Indian club, anime club, and many other clubs I have yet to find out.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has one of the best architecture programs in the state. It also offers a master program for architecture, so I will be able to complete my schooling without having to transfer. After completing the master's program, I will have a greater chance of recieving a job because the school brings in architectural firm owner's to conduct interviews of the students. This school is also very culturally diverse which allows people to become more open minded and relate themselves to other cultures.

It's a bigger school. Having grown up in such a small town, I wanted a change. They also have the option of being the the Air Force ROTC which is something I have been considering.

UW-Milwaukee is a very diverse school - urban lifestyle. I come from a small town so to go to UW-Milwaukee is an adventure and an experience all in one that I don't feel I could have received from some of the other schools I was looking at.

UW-Milwaukee was intriguing for me because of their extremely competitive nursing program/school. It's a very diverse school, in terms of both the types of programs that are offered and the crowd of students attending. Before coming to this school, I toured several others, and this had the best campus lay out and the seemingly the best insructors.

My school is unique because of it's cultural diversity. Whenever I'm on campus or when I'm walking to class, I see many different types of people, whether it's their skin color, the type of clothing they wear, or the language they speak.

It is a large commuter school however, many students live off-campus and on-campus. The city isn't too large, and activites in the surrounding neighborhoods keep you entertained all year. The environment is very diverse in politics, religions, sexuality, gender, and socio-economic classes.

There's not much to say really. I like the fact the bus takes me all the way there without any transfers. I think the open spaces between structures is kind of nice, as you feel more relaxed and comfortable.

The University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee has a great tutoring program. The tutors and the teachers' assistants are willing to work with students to satisfy the students' needs. They are willing to take extra time for the students to be comfortable with their knowledge as they prepare for tests and labs. The best thing about the school is that it has a fantastic group called Campus Crusades for Christ which is a Christian group that has lots of friends praying for everyone and their problems. The group is so supportive with the spiritual walk through life also.

UW-Milwaukee is located on the east side of Milwaukee in the middle of the luxurious lake shore drive area. Unlike many other schools, Milwaukee is strongly related to its local residents. This is due in part to its location, and UW-Milwaukee's history. The enrolle number is high and the campus size is small, which is to my liking. There is a diverse group of students, many of which are goal oriented, like myself. The numerous majors are specialized, making it competitive, as well as aiding in the work ethic of the students.

Our school is located in a residential area. We are close to down town. It wasn't a far move for me.

I think the social aspect of this school is great. You meet a lot of really great people and it really is a great experience. It's a nice atmosphere and people make things exciting.

Professors who are the best in the business. Both large and small classes, allowing for variety.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a diverse campus with plenty of resources available to all students. For example, we have a first year learning center on campus to give information to the incoming freshman, and to ease them into the college experience. We have other things like a tutoring center to help students with any subject they may struggle with by placing them with a student expert in that area. Also, most of the teachers are compassionate and helpful with assignments and deadlines.

UW-Milwaukee has an awesome honors style business program. I have been able to meet many downtown milwaukee business's to start making connections.

Culturally diverse, large campus but feels small enough, easily accessible, fun, academically driven, a very close knit feeling as if we a re a very large family, oh yeah, did I mention it was lots of fun?? Yea........I did.

There is absolutely nothing unique about UWM. They have nothing more than any other college.

The Peck School of the Arts has some good art programs which make UWM worth looking at for an art school.

The housing is wonderful. The residence halls do a great job of getting students interacting and keeping them safe.

Proximity to family.

The campus is condensed to a few block which makes it easier to schedule classes back to back. The campus is in a city setting, but is very close to Lake Michigan and many parks exist for recreation.

UWM is very diverse and has a large class offering.

It was the only one with my desired undergraduate program (Global Studies).

The location of the campus is very close to the city which is nice for activities and the overall size of campus is very cozy, and comfortable to most students. The facilities are up-to scale and the overall atmosphere feels like a college campus within the city of Milwaukee. There are always activites to do, and organizations to join.

University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee is very unique in many ways. When you are on campus it feels like you are in your own college community, away form everything else because campus is so close together verus campuses you find yourself getting lost in because they are so big. Near by is Lake Michigan to swim, play beachvolleyball, and get the feel of a coast, but also only a bus ride away is downtown Milwaukee with shopping and the night life of a city. Also the diversity is huge, you are completely submerged in many different cultures.

Reciprocity

UW-Milwaukee has a large variety of ethnicities on campus that give a well-rounded cultural experience. Some of the classrooms are large, and can be overwhelming when someone first attends this college, but it gets easier with time. Most teachers are kind and understanding, as long as you make an effort in your school work. All the teachers give contact information if you need to reach them, and will respond by one way or another to accomodate your needs.

the environment, milwaukee is a very interesting, diverse and welcoming city. You have a large variety of things to do all year round, including Brewer games, downtown and plenty of places for students just to hang out and plenty of new clubs and extra curricular activities opening up every year.

it is a larger school with a smaller feel on campus like with student to teacher ratio is good and our campus is built more up instead of out witch is nice for transiton time between class.
