UW Superior is the place to go if you want to meet people from around the world. The academics, especially the math department are heavily lacking. On campus food is often sub-par, but there are many good restaurants in the area.
University of Wisconsin superior can be a great choice for a variety of people looking to go to college. They have great program offerings, affordable tuition and small classes. Many of their degree fields are real life job paths, which is fantastic. I highly recommend UWS!
It's a smaller university, but it leaves room open for actual one-to-one help with professors. The campus is beautiful, and the students are nice too. The food is super good too! They usually have vegan and vegetarian options, but not a huge variety.
A great school trying to keep up with the current educational economic climate. They care about their students and offer numerous opportunities for intellectual growth. They treat their athletes well for a Division III school. The community is suffering in keeping up with the economy.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for University of Wisconsin-Superior is 76%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Make sure the school has a strong learning community within it instead of simply a group of individuals seeking higher education.
The person attending this school should be goal oriented and focused on what they want in life and have motivation to reach their goals. They should also realize that you need to keep on top of your homework and study at least once a day, but also to have some sort of a social life and be able to blend the two without having conflicts.
Beautiful,or use to be, campus that is currently under construction that is unavoidable and annoying so much that it makes it hard to concentrate in class when there is constant rucus going on outside the window.
It is more personal because it is smaller which I think helps make other students more friendly and open to new things and ideas.
There is not one thing that is the worst, but it is a number of small problems that the school needs to deal with. Some departments are understaffed leading to poor coordination at important times. The buildingings are not interconnected so you have to brave the winter weather between each building. And the economy in town is moderately poor so jobs around campus are difficult to come by.
It is close to home and the people there are easy to get along with.
I guess a lot of them are from northern Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota...

Well, I don't actually "go" here because I'm a distance learner, so I'll talk about my experience with the administrative staff and the teachers. I would say that in the past the administrative staff is generally good to work with. One thing I have a problem with is that every year they require a $100 payment before the semester begins regardless of whether or not you have financial aid. They don't really tell you about this and wait until you haven't paid to let you know about it, then they tack on a late fee. They don't accept credit cards, well they do, they just have an additional fee if you use a credit card. The way UW-Superior is run is rather archaic; it reminds me of the way government institutions are run. Aside from that, I would say that it's pretty good...the classes are good and in general, I've enjoyed my experience there.
The size is great. You really get to know your classmates and professors.
Nothing really, I liked finding out on my own and I wasn;t nervous to come here so finding out how nice everyone is was no surprise to me.
