I think that finding the right college is essential in obtaining your career goals. I think that campus size and class room size will impact your learning. Researching your field of study and making sure that the time and effort you are investing in will pay off. There is nothing like completing somthing and then finding that it does not benefit your career choice. I think that you need to meet with your counselor on a regular basis to make sure that you are on track and can handle your class load. The college experience is what you make of it. You have to embrace it and want to learn. If you have ambition and drive you can succed at your dreams.
If I had to describe my school in one sentence I would say Urbana University is a small campus with 10-15 kids in each class and the teachers are more then willing to help you all the time with your studys.
I love how ALL of my professors know my name, my favorite sports teams, my major, and where I live and work. I love being able to walk across campus and see familar faces. If I pass 15 people, I'll know 14 of the 15 and stop to meet the 15th person. It's a wonderful family atmosphere where everyone is there to help you SUCCEED!!
Urbana University has an attendance policy and depending on the professor you can only miss a certain number of classes. Most of the time it is perfectly fine with me and it keeps me focused and motivated however, there are the days that I just feel like going to town and going shopping instead and I wish I could get away with skipping more often.
They have a very strict attendence policy here. I think it is grewat for traditional, on-campus students, however it sometimes works against as I am a single mother.
I believe the food they provide for the students, leisure activities, money available for students, class schedules, technology and houseing for the students.
Individuals who are unfocused should not attend this school.
The class sizes are small so your teachers really get to know you and they are always available if you need them for anything.
My school is best known for puting up a front. They say that Urbana University offers so much, but in truth it does not. They do not offer any reasonable financial aid.
Thats it's a privite school and it has small class sizes.
