Very good school for nursing and education. Professors are amazing and always willing to help.

Ursuline College is overall a wonderful school. The classes are small and the professors are always available. Your professor will help you if you're struggling in any kind of way. Also, if you get bored on campus, we have a lot of groups you can join foe example diversity board or AIMS or you can join sports like basketball, volleyball, or track. There is always something to do on campus and easy it is to make friends because everyone has similar interests and goals. But the only down fall of Ursuline is that they do not have transportation for commuters like bus passes. If you don't want to be a commuter you can stay on campus, the dorms are really nice and big. The school is great but it need a few changes so over all I give the school four stars.

Anna

Ursuline college is an extraordinary college. The small class sizes allow peers to get to know one another, and develop friendships. They also allow the college to have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Moreover, the class sizes encourage students to be more involved in class, and teachers to be more involved with individual students. Overall, I am very happy to be attending Ursuline College, and to be a part of the friendly atmosphere.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would tell myself not to put off going to college. That was the worst decision of my life. I ended up getting married at 19 and that was a big mistake. I was divorced by 23 with a beautiful daugher. I started going back to school at the age of 31, so I was not able to experience the wonderful world of campus life. If I could go back in time, I would definately let myself know that there is a huge world out there and that I need to put my future in my hands and go directly to college. Jobs are really limited when you do not posess a college degree. You are to smart to let life pass you by! Make the most of your potential!

Classes are small and the professors get to know you as an individual, they care. It is not like being lost in a crowd of 200 students as a social security number. They know your name.

  4. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Honestly, I wish I had known how great their UCAP (Ursuline College Accelerated Program) program was. I spent a few years hopping from school to school trying to find something that felt right. When you are paying for your own education out of pocket you want to feel like you are actually learning something; not just regurgitating information for the sake of a piece of paper.

  7. What kind of person should not attend this school?

It is amazing regarding what the question that you are asking is. It is also my motivation, for returning to nursing school, to obtain my Masters in Nursing and Education. I believe, and unfortunately have experienced, that there are nurses in the working world, who have returned to school and due to the lack of nurse educators, causing the class curriculums to be presented in online form, there is no one to weed out the nurses, who are only in nursing, for the money. The care they are giving is affecting our patient outcomes.
