This is my first year on campus. I like that it is a close knit college
Utica college is known to be a small private college, with huge diversity. Great for physical and occupational therapy, but offers much more, up to 37 majors and 27 minors, for students to choose from. They are divsion 3 NCAA sports; best known for their hockey team, but also has basketball, football, lacross, soccer, and many intramurals.
My school is best known for the academics. All the teachers are very helpful and really solemly want to teach you and help you succed. My school is also known for its activities. There is always something fun to do to help everyone, especially freshmans, feel at home and socialize.
Well, around Central NY, all I hear about is Utica's chicken riggies. Chicken riggies, chicken riggies. They eat that stuff up. We also have a pretty good ice hockey team and around a million and one super impressive alumni. But when I go home, the thing I brag about the most to my friends and family is our student-run newspaper. It might not have made a splash in the media world just yet, but it has the potential to be greater than anyone has ever seen. It's ours and we made it. That's everything.
My college is known for the full time weekend programs of study making it possible for people who need to work full-time and want to persue a career.
I don't live on campus, but there seems to be a great campus community based on lots of activities to become involved in. Overall, students are involved in many volunteer activities to better the community on campus and outside. Also, Utica is a great local community which offers a blend of urban and rural activities. There's a lot of history here, and people in the community are welcoming of students at the college.
It is affiliated with Syracuse University although I understand that the affiliation is ending soon. It is one of the few schools that offers a Weekend Occupational Therapy Master's Program.
It is mainly known for its health programs and criminal justice. We have the doctoral physical therapy program, an occupational therapy program, and a very good nursing program. We have a seperate building mainly for health studies that include labs for these degrees. Criminal justice is also very important here and we just had a new facility built just for this.
My school is best know for students in medical fields such as nursing passing their NCLEX-RN exam with at least a 90% passing rate.
The school is best known for our PT and OT programs. Socially it is best known for the Hockey games.
My school is best known for the cultural events and i love them. The music and the plays and the poem readings are great.
UC is known for 3 major programs Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Economic Crime Investigation. We are also known for the CIMIP (Center for Information Management and Identity Protection) center and the ECI (Economic Crime Institute). Lastly we are known for having one of the best DIII hockey schedules, with the leading attendance (approx 3000/game) for Division III.
