It is a very good school and I would recommend it to my peers. I had a parent that went to this school and they graduated and went on to have a very lucrative career. That pushed me into the direction of going to this school and I do not regret it. I like this school a lot.
I had to transfer to this school because the school that I was attending didn't offer my program. I will be transferring out as soon as I can find another school that offers this program. There are a few good instructors, and some are awful. The advisors aren't much better and will tell you to take classes that you shouldn't be taking, wasting time and money. The courses are inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, which is mostly just instructors throwing work at you without any instruction or guidance, and then disappearing when you need help.
Vance-Granville is a good and relatively cheap option for someone who wants to save money on their general education hours or two-year degree. You really do get what you pay for. There isn't much going on in the area of clubs or recreational activities; VGCC's sports teams are limited and athletics aren't a huge part of campus life.
I believe that Vance-Granville Community College is an astounding school, but could use improvement in terms of housing, academics and extracurricular activities. Addition of more sports and interest classes, along with more available tutoring and instructor availability would increase its academics and activities worth.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Vance-Granville Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
the culinary program has classes in oxford , away from the main campus. The majority of the events that go on are during class times for culinary students so you miss out on the activities and socializing with different students
I would tell myself that I should have started college sooner. I am currently working two jobs supporting a family and working on my degree. Would be easier if I did not have all the responsibilities that I have now.
My classmates are smart and engage in classroom participation.
Anyone looking for a large university life with a thiriving sports area.
