Gotta go with a sports answer here. My freshman year, #2 Kentucky came to Memorial. It was the year they had John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins. My friends and I took shifts waiting on line for the game. I had first shift in the morning and when I came back when they were set to open the doors, the line was down the block. I've never seen anything like it since then. When we finally got our seats, the whole stadium was packed. You couldn't even move. It is easily the most ELECTRIC sports atmosphere I have ever been a part of. Unfortunately, we lost the game by two points after missing what would have been the tying buzzer beater. Nevertheless, it is a day and a game I will never forget.
On my first day as a transfer*, I arrived, upperclassmen helped* me carry things to my dorm, and my mom left almost immediately. So, I unpacked and fell asleep on my floor blasting music and eating cereal. After a couple of hours, I walked around, met a couple of girls I had been chatting on facebook with for a month or so, walked them back to their dorm after some Starbucks, and got totally lost. It started pouring* and I had no idea where I was going, so I just mindlessly ambled and ultimately saw the entire campus until I found one familiar landmark that took me back to my dorm. That night, we had a transfer picnic where I met several other transfers*. Those people became my good friends and I still hang out with many of them all the time. Then we hit the frats*. The end. *If you are a freshman you are not a transfer. Upperclassmen don't help you carry your things, they DO carry your things. It never rains on the freshmen, you only get rainbows and peace. You don't get a freshman picnic, you get tons of free food and enjoyment all the time. You cannot go to the fraternities at the beginning of the year (first week, I think) because they will get put on probation if you do. The end.
