Great school with multiple activities and an amazing academic history. The Campus is seated upon a beautiful mountain vista. The student body is friendly and well spread out among the cozy campus. Though the College is secluded they offer a huge amount of activities for students to sign up for. Overall this campus is amazing and the staff are very supportive!

I like the Williston campus, it is convenient for me. It is hard for other students at the south Vermont campus b/c they have nothing to do and there is nothing around. There main campus should be in Williston and they should have it right in the city, allowing people to have jobs, live off campus and work.

Savannah

As a high school student I had the opportunity to attend VTC full time during my senior year, and during that time I was undeclared, but taking nursing classes. Truthfully, the staff was really great, but that was about it. I just didn't really fit the mold of the atmosphere. It was very fieldwork-oriented, and that just was not my thing. The campus was very small and well maintained, but it was not particularly pretty. The social aspect of the school was basically non-existent and clubs were pretty strictly tied to majors- none of which I was interested.

These stereotypes are not accurate!! Vermont Tech has so much to offer students who are willing to broaden their horizons and be willing to step out and challenge themselves. As far as the redneck stereotype goes, there are all kinds of students here that come from all over and bring a lot of different views and personalities to the table. That what makes it so fun!

  10. What are the academics like at your school?

The best thing about Vermont Tech academics is definitely that class size. For me it has always been a top priorty to make sure professors know who I am. I am not a brown noser by any means, but I think have a strong relationship with them. Generally within the first two weeks of classes, the professors have a great sense of who is who in each class, and can rattle names out fairly flawlessly. The class are not overly difficult, but they aren't a piece a cake either. Students need to put time and effort into their work, the ones that don't will surely pay the price. The nice thing about our students is how driven they are. Students are here to learn and that is what they do. With a 98{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} placement right, the academic situation here must be doing something right.

I think that my school is the perfect size, my teachers know who I am and they are able to know all of us personally and remember our names. The best thing about VTC is being able to have the opportunity to make a name for yourself and prove to yourself that you can be outgoing, responsible, and still have fun. Whether it be a teacher or an administrative staff member, there is always someone who is willing to push you to grow into the person they know you can be.
