I haven’t started yet, but just from the tour alone I’m confident it is a great school and I’m very excited for all of the hands on experience! They respect my religious ethics towards specific animals as well which makes me feel welcomed and at ease that I won’t be overlooked or discriminated against.
Finding Vet Tech was the best choice out there! I was a current student at a different institution in Texas, but it didn't provide me with much of anything for my career choice. Anytime I would look up information of schools for my major choice of animal sciences, Vet Tech would never fail to appear! I am so excited to be attending the school, and I would give the same advice to anyone that I should have given to myself. if you love animals and would like to spend your life working with them, as well as work with them AT SCHOOL, this is the school for you. I would finally say, if you are determined to find a school that you need for you career as well as determined to become enrolled in it, this school is for you, look into it.
There isn't a better school I could have chosen. Upper class are super helpful, the instructor are always available, the office is very helpful and every one there is very encouraging. The material is really easy to understand and the instructors make it easier.
When I applied to the Vet Tech Institute of Houston, I didn't know anything about it. The day after I applied I got a call to come in for an interview. As soon as I stroked out of the car I saw the students in scrubs all mingling. No one seemed to be left out and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves. When I walked into the building we went in the wrong entrance but no one judged us and made us walk around. Instead we were helped to where we needed to be. Once we got to the place we were meant to be, we met Mrs. Kim. She helpfully and cheerfully explained how the school would be and how everything worked. As soon as I went on my tour I knew that school was perfect of me. On my tour I met a young student. She showed me some husbandry techniques and told me id love the school. Overall the energy was completely positive and I can not wait to start this October.

Always put your school work ahead of your social life. Getting the grades will always be more worth it, because missing a party one night wont matter.
You should not attend this school if you are not serious about the animal industry and if you are planning on sliding by and just finishing and getting a job. This school is excellerated and extremely serious and in depth.
How fast paced and the time you would spend in your studies, but its completely worth it.
Were right next to the higway, and we work with animals. Theres not a big patch of land were we can take the dogs and have them run for a long while. Instead we have to make do with walking them at least 4 times a day and they have to be on leashes at all times. They spend so much time in the cages and have so much energy and they cant fully use it up because there is not enough space to let them run around.
