I haven’t started yet, but just from the tour alone I’m confident it is a great school and I’m very excited for all of the hands on experience! They respect my religious ethics towards specific animals as well which makes me feel welcomed and at ease that I won’t be overlooked or discriminated against.

Carolina - 10/09/2019

My overall opinion of Vet tech institutes is it’s a very different and difficult system compared to your typical college . It requires a lot of time and effort as well as your free time goes away so not ideal for people juggling a lot in their life .The teachers are a 50 /50 like or don’t like their teaching style so I find myself teaching myself at some points . Over all be prepared for a lot of work coming your way and lots of studying!!!

Harper - 07/09/2019

Unless you know what you're getting into, I would strongly advise against coming here. Be prepared for a lot of work and an incredibly fast paced course (only 16 months). If you're able to juggle this course and a job, I envy you. Otherwise, you may have to quit your job to make sure that you stay on top of your classwork. Some (but definitely not all) of the professors can be pretty inflexible in their leniency, even with situations out of your control such as health problems, weather conditions, or technical issues. Husbandry cannot be described as anything but painful. Your 7 hour day will turn into a 12 hour day, including the weekend (but this is balanced with the fact that it's only for 1 week each term up until Junior semester). However, the hands-on-experience is invaluable and there's job placement for when you finish the program, which can take away the worry and terror of being out of a job upon graduation.

Yasmine - 07/13/2018

There isn't a better school I could have chosen. Upper class are super helpful, the instructor are always available, the office is very helpful and every one there is very encouraging. The material is really easy to understand and the instructors make it easier.

  5. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Were right next to the higway, and we work with animals. Theres not a big patch of land were we can take the dogs and have them run for a long while. Instead we have to make do with walking them at least 4 times a day and they have to be on leashes at all times. They spend so much time in the cages and have so much energy and they cant fully use it up because there is not enough space to let them run around.
