It's Amazing, the Classes are small and the professors know your name and your not just some number. The falculty are good and as well as the staff. its a good school.
Villa Maria College is an amazing college with terrific professors who can help you learn new skills to help you find a career in the workforce. The clubs are awesome because you get to meet nice people and exchange ideas with other people. The faculty are very helpful to any student of race, religion, and etc.
Villa Maria College is a beautiful campus in an older yet well-maintained building, extremely helpful and nice personnel (including the nuns), degree-specific courses with minimal electives to cut down on BS, and as there is no dorming the price of tuition is half of what other colleges with the same premises cost. There is nearby student-housing equipped with free shuttling, if you must live nearby.
I feel that this school is a place that feels like home. Due to the small classroom sizes there is a great deal of individual attention, and there are activities to get a large variety of students involved. Each program in this college is generally an art style program; photography, music, graphic design. We share all of our work in our school gallery which our students take pride in.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Villa Maria College is 84%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
If I had the chance to go back to high school and give myself advice there is many things I would say to myself. The first thing would be to focus. Focus is the biggest and most important advice for college students. Once you lose that focus on your class or major it's difficult to get it back and put forth your best effort. The second piece of advice I would give would be to be confident in yourself and your abilities. It is too easy to lose confidence in yourself after not doing your best. One wrong answer or should not discourage you from reaching your full potential in life. The last ppiece of advice i would give is to put forth all the effort possible to recieve a good scholarship because the plans in your mind won't neccesarily turn out the way you want them too. Affording a good college that put you in the right path for success has to be planned carefully while in high school.
The most frustrating thing about my school was that it does not have any campus living. I was required to obtain my own living environment, although they did provide me guidance with finding an apartment complex specific for college students. Because of this it was really hard to make friends on campus since we all lived off campus. I was really craving a typical college experience months into my freshman year so I have purued transferring to Kent State University in Ohio where I can live on campus, make more friends, and buy a food plan for 2014-2015!
I think this college needs some updating in a lot areas.
My school is best known for the arts. It is actually considered an arts college with the exception of its physical therapy assistant degree. I actually decided to attend Villa Maria College because it did not require me to take multiple courses that had nothing to do with my major, fashion design. I did not want to focus on science and math courses that would not apply to my future work. I was grateful that the school caters to those who excel in the area of creativity and design.
What is unique about the school compared to the other schools i considered are its values and the size of the school. Villa is an extremely small college compared to the other colleges i considered. Also Villa is a campus run by a group of relgious figures called the felician sisters.
It's like home. You could go up to a stranger with any question and they go out of their way to help you. When they see you next they will ask how your situation went and if you need anything else. We are a smaller school and everyone tries to make sure new students are involved.
We are a smaller school so finantially it's difficult. It isn't a SUNY school so the price of tuition is rather large. For my situation, my family makes too much for me to qualify for a good finational aid package.
The type of person who shouldn't attend this school is a person who has an interest in extracurricular activities. Villa is a small private college where education is empathized solely. There are virtually zero on campus activities for students to do.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
