I am a fan of the first floor in the library. Enough noise but not too much.
The best place to get work done is either on the third/fourth floor of Falvey library or in Bartley hall, the business school, if you are the type of person that prefers a quiet environment; one could also work in Tolentine hall or in Mendel Science center. Another good place to get work done is in Connelly Center if you are the type of person that prefers to have some background noise.
If you're looking to get work done - and I mean really actually get your work done - there's a few things you can do. The library is the first, and most obvious choice. You can go and pick a table and leave it at that. Many people don't know, however, that you can use a study room. There are a number of study rooms available to students to sign out. They're supposedly sound-proof, so you won't be bothered in there. You can also rent out a classroom. Using the Villanova website, you can request to reserve a classroom, and as long as it's not reserved for a class, it's yours! It's great if you want to hold a study group.
