The class i graduated with was incredibly supportive. We all held study sessions and helped each other with assignments as needed, we were always there for each other in the clinical setting, and sometimes just bringing in food was enough to perk everyone up. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better little family to have sitting with me on that stage.
The first nine months focus more on CNA skills, basic bedside manner, and nursing basics. The next nine months really kicks up the curriculum and its suddenly a fast paced environment with high focus on grades
Well, a good majority of us have completely devoted ourselves to nursing. We spent a good amount of time studying together and putting each other back on track when we became discouraged.
It's a brilliant opportunity! There's 570 hours of clinical time, including specialties such OB, psych, and pediatrics. The program is fast paced but absolutely worth it. Definitely the cheapest and fast way to go for your LPN!
I'm sure people look at us and imagine the pristine little nurses in their white hats and cloaks, soft spoken and kind. Well, we're definitely kind, but we're also silly and goofy. Obviously there are times when we all had to buckle down and get serious, but we always came back with a smile.
