What's the Greek scene like?

Greek life is definitely big, but I find that only really true if you choose to be a part of it. I "rushed" freshman year and was offered a bid, but once I went through the whole process, I realized it wasn't so much my "scene." (Too many rules for me!) However, I've lived with girls from all different sororities and they were definitely into it during their first few semesters, but as Seniors they seem rather indifferent. From what I've noticed, it's only really if you hold a leadership position or somehow become really involved that makes joining a sorority worthwhile. (Of course, this is from the outside looking in.) Ultimately, I know a lot of "Greeks" and I know a lot of "GDI's," but these titles don't really seem to matter, at least to my group of friends.
