I would consider the worst thing about my school to be that it occasionally struggles with gossip and people creating drama over minor things. Due to Viterbo being a small school with a high population of female students and theater students, I feel that there is a high prevelance of drama that occurs at my school. At times, it can get out of hand which kind of reminds me of being in high school again.
The worst thing about my school would have to be the lack of financial aid. My parents and I have been struggling with payments for the different loans and overall pricing of my school. There are opportunities for work-study jobs (on campus jobs), but few people qualify for them. Viterbo is also located in a poor neighborhood where there are not many opportunities for off-campus jobs. This makes it more difficult to afford college. If there were more opportunities for financial aid or on and off campus jobs, Viterbo would be much easier to afford.
The worst thing about my school is that I can't even apply for a parking permit until my sophomore year. I live far away from the school and it would be nice to have a reliable source of transportation back home when needed.
The way situations are handled when something goes wrong. A friend of mine had problems with racism.
There aren't enough activites or campus options. I've just read about other bigger schools and they have so many more options they give students to do in their free time. Viterbo doesn't have a pool or tennis courts. Basically, it is a small school so there are limitied physical activities and less interesting things to do.
Viterbo University seems to lack in funding, because the food that we recieve is rather low quality, and there is no pool here on campus. Viterbo also could have better living quarters and faster internet during the day.
On campus housing and dealing with residence life. Viterbo is very short on campus housing and almost forces people to move off campus every year. They have many obscure rules in order to be able to qualify for on campus housing. It was very hard to live on campus all 4 years, but most people do not.
