No, I think that being all male allows for more depth of personality without having to try to impress women constantly. At Wabash, developing good friendships is a very natural thing because of how close the community is here.

Not really. The College does have a few preps and students who aren't too careful with their grooming habits, but the only factor that is a constant throughout the student body is our sex. Despite being small in number, our student has been diverse in a variety of ways, from race, politics, and economic background to region, interests, and future goals.

I strongly disagree that students here are "cavemen" or that we are sexists. That is an absurd notion and it is based off the assumption that because we are an all-male school then we must therefore be sexists. However, the reputation stereotype is very true...but its presence is really only strong in Indiana, and not much outside of the state.

This is mostly untrue, on the weekend of Monon Bell this is probably 50 percent of the campus, but otherwise, we are mostly upstanding guys who love our school and get along with anyone.

The stereotypes about Wabash Men could not be farther from the truth. For the vast majority of Wabash's students are gentlemen in the truest sense of the word. Those who spend time with students and alumni would know this by their excellent manner and respectful demeanour.

No, except that from my experience the people in my fraternity do consume large quantities of alcohol often.

While there are male chauvinist pigs, and the student body tends to be more conservative than liberal, most Wabash men are gentlemen. Because there are no women around, I feel that Wabash men more often than not respect women and each other, more so than their peers at large, co-ed state schools. As far has being broadly educated and well rounded, Wabash men fit the bill. In addition to my core economics/mathematics curriculum, I have taken classes covering everything from organic chemistry to Kant, Vietnam War literature to ancient Greek texts.

No. We are smart and a brotherhood exists here. I can see where we are labeled as elitists. Other than those three, everything else is false.

Not in the slightest. I know guys who don't have that much, Wabash has just given them a great financial aid package.
