The best thing about my school is the teachers. This is the first time in my community college experience that all the teachers have really impressed me and made me WANT to learn. They are compassionate, hard-working, and skilled in their designated fields. My sociology teacher is so good at what she does that I decided, after the first class, to add sociology to my major. I never ever though that at twenty-five I would be sitting in class, palms sweating, thinking "THIS is what I want to do with my life". I've never been more excited.
Wake Tech is a very good school. They have very knowledgable staff and will work with you one on one if you need additional help. The transfer program which I am taking, allows you to be very flexible and take the courses that benefit you the most and will help you get into the university of your choice. Wake Tech offers courses in most fields of work. The school offers tons of technical training which gives you hands on experience. Wake Tech would make a great school for any and all ages, at any professional level.
The best thing about my school is that it is a cheap way to get a basic education. I am here only for a semester, but it is costing me way less than another NC university would, and way less than the out of state university I was at last semester. It is a great place for people who are not doing well financially to get some classes out of the way for less money while getting their foot in the door at a university. It is a great transition.
Out of the seven classes I've taken at Wake Tech, not one has had more than 35 students in it. The small class sizes give you the opportunity for collaboration with fellow students and individual instruction from your professors. Besides being personal, Wake Tech is also extremely affordable. If you're not sure about what you want to do after high school, you can explore your options and interests here while being financially savvy.
The best thing about WakeTech is the size of the classrooms. Instead of large lecture halls WakeTech is comprised of smaller rooms allowing for more one on one teaching. This is great because it allows students such as myself to feel included in lectures.
The teachers push their students to do their best, they don't want their money to go to waste.
Course Material. Knew a lot about electronics when I left.
