What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to take second semester of high school physics. At the time I really wanted to take easy classes my senior year, so I took only the first semester and then dropped it because it was becoming increasingly difficult. This term in college I just took first semester of college physics. I dropped second semester college physics because I do not need it to go on to graduate school. I also dropped it due to financial reasons, so that I could work more hours next term. I would also tell myself as a high school senior to take harder classes. I wish that I would have taken calculus. In high school I took pre-calculus, but then did not take calculus because pre-calculus was hard. So basically I would tell myself as a high school senior that I should push myself and finish senior year strong because calculus and physics will be needed later in life, namely in college. I would tell myself to listen to my parents in regards to going to a community college and living with them the first year or so of college. I would also tell myself to dream big.

I love the small class size in my private school. It gives students more one-on-one time with the teacher, and it is also better in making friends. Some of my upperclassmen friends have told me that soon I will know everyone on campus. I also like going to a christian based college, everyone is so friendly there, students, faculty, and teachers. True, we take bible classes, but they're enjoyable, and we are not forced to take a bible major or minor. They also have a special class for freshman fall semester to help freshman adjust to college.

Some people are just out-of-place. Not they are less of people, but simply that they just don't fit where they are. The question that separates wether this group of out-of-placer's should come or go, is in their court. The question isn't a qualification at this point, but a measurement of opportunity. If they believe they can set aside their own selves for the sake of growing with others, they should come. If they find themselves not willing to be changed from an experience of a lifetime, they might as well not come.

The best thing about Warner Pacific College, is the fact that teachers here don't view you as a number. They view you as a student and they really want to see you accel in school. The small classroom sizes make the learning envoirnment comfortable and you learn so much more like that. The teachers also want to get to know you and don't mind meet up with you for coffee before class. They don't mind meeting up with you if you are struggling to understand something in class. That's the reason why Warner is the best.

The type of person that should come here are those who are willing to be challenged, who will work hard, and who will want to grow. They need to be thinkers and be willing to ask difficult questions.

The most frustrating thing about WPC are the dorms. Theyre pretty cramped and could use a decent upgrade. With two people to a dorm theres not a whole lot of breathing room.

I would consider the worst thing about Warner Pacific College to be the more liberal, rather than conservative, attitude toward Christianity. This is not to say that I advocate for legalism, but I believe there is a lack of encouragment toward a Biblical lifestyle. One example of liberalism that I don't personally agree with is the allowance and encouragement for women to become pastors through Warner Pacific's degree programs.

Warner pacific is well known for its community. The faculty and staff are committed to helping students suceed and the small size ensures that you will be somewhat familiar with a large percent of the student body. We are also known for involment in the community around our school. There is a siginificant emphasis on volunteering and ample opportunities to do so.
